When are Cincinnati's rush hours?

Things get heavy in the morning by 7:30 am, staying thick until about 8:45am. This is barring any bad wrecks! Have one of those and things are a mess for a couple of hours. In the evening it starts to get heavy after 4:00 pm until about 6:00. The same goes for any wrecks! Keep your radio tuned to local stations during that time because they always are giving traffic reports about every 10-15 minutes during rush hours. If you do travel through Cincy on non rush hour times, you could go straight through I-75. If you are travelling during rush hours, you might opt to do the 275 loop. It does add quite a few extra miles on, but I myself prefer traveling at 65 mph and getting somewhere as opposed to stop and go traffic. If I can be of any more help, just pm me. I've lived in the Cincinnati area all my life!

Are you planning on crossing the border in Port Huron or Detroit? You may want to consider your times there. The backup sometimes on the bridge can be up to 1.5 hours some mornings.

Depending upon your time to SW Ohio, you will also experience traffic around Dayton, OH. You may want to stop around West Chester, OH to eat breakfat and then resume your trip. Take an hour to eat and relax and the roads should clear up around 9am. Lived in WC, OH for 12 years, so traffic around Cinci hasn't changed much.

Thanks - but as I stated, we can't find this info in our I-75 book. Whereabouts did you find these times listed?

Thanks, Tiger

I have the 11 edition and it's at the back of the book on page 193(beating the rush hour blues) , just before the by-pass maps. I had a previous years book and it was in the same place. Hope this helps. Susan
