does it go back in the system as an available AP rate or not??

I've read conflicting things here on the boards. Some people say keep calling, others say don't bother. Which is it???

We leave in 17 days......should I try calling? I'd love to get that discount.

I've also read both on versions on various boards. We've been told, by CRO for what it's worth sometimes, that a discounted room becomes a rack rate room when cancelled. I'd keep callng, to the toll-free number of course, since you have nothing to lose and a lot to gain. Strange things do happen.

It's a yes and no question.

If the room was available at AP rates and someone called to reserve it but failed to make their deposit on time, then the room goes back into inventory as an AP discounted room again.

If the room was held by someone for awhile and had paid their deposit and received their confirmation from WDTC/CRO then decides at a later date to cancel that reservation, that room goes back into non-discounted inventory.

Discounted room inventories are always subject to change. At any time, a resort general manager can decide to release more discounted rooms to the public from their inventory or they can remove some of the discounted rooms that were initially offered but not booked. These decisions are based on projected occupancy rates for any given time period.

It's always worth calling. You never know. ;)
