When announcements come back with the new schedule. What would you love to see different? And what do you hope they will never change?

•I hope there will always be a rewards advantage program.
•I wish Disney would take my reservation in advance and just tell me what room I got. I would rank the decks, and port or starboard, front center or back of ship.
I would have to approve my choice by email before noon or it gets released to the next cruisers to call in that day whom will only get a 6 hour hold as well. If they need more time, put some money down on it, with a 24 hour buyers remorse policy. People are a little more conservative if they have to bring their wallet out.

The 3 day hold seems unfair if abused. Some people/agents pick several and decided later.
I’m Gold, but then Silver gets even fewer choices with that program.
Originally the hold was given so that people could send a check in instead of using a charge card.

PS I am so bored!! And I don’t think we are half way through this! Grocery shopping and drive-through just isn’t cutting it. Sorry for that just needed to Vent. I have included a nice Wonder photo to calm me down. 1A79E6A7-B810-4E1B-B055-226C0311C963.jpeg

Wish they would add another tier above Platinum. Also, it's always bothered be that platinum is above gold in the CC status when the element of gold is a more precious metal than platinum and worth more than platinum. Just a weird quirk that's always stuck with me. Gold has been worth more than platinum since before the Dream class even entered service.

Also would like for them to bring back the $200 shipboard credit for non-concierge when booking onboard for future cruise.

They could also do that promotion of 10% deposit for the late 2021 itinerary instead of the usually 20%. They've done that promotion in the past so it wouldn't be a stretch to implement. This would get more people to book a future cruise during these uncertain times because they would not have so much money tied in. With a lower deposit it would help people overcome their hesitation to put money down and would also give DCL an infusion of deposit cash which would be a 1+ year interest free loan to them during these down times when they could use it. Also wouldn't effect their re-booking money because all the re-booking money is going to go to the future cruise anyways, so this promotion would clearly help bring in "new blood" per say.

I've always thought of it as platinum is stronger and more durable than gold.... Given there are fewer cruises you can be at "gold" level for, its certainly more rare than platinum at this point. :rolleyes1

Maybe it would work if you could hold a category but not an actual room until you pay the deposit? I didn't know the three day hold was for checks, that is very interesting. I wonder how often they were lost in the mail...

I wish they wouldn't only let you pick from 5-6 rooms on ONE side of the ship at a time.

I wish they would go ahead and put 'starting at' when they publish the announcement so people can effectively until they open up bookings. Currently you can decide which you're interested in, but still not have a firm idea what to go for.

I also don't think we're even halfway through this. We're just NOW going to go through layoffs at my work next week, just in time for the added UI to expire. My husband's company did layoffs that "start" August 1st. It takes awhile for every industry to feel it, and its going to take even longer for them to go back to normal too. :headache:

Mentioned this in another thread, but more 5 night sailings. 4 is too short and sometimes 7 is too long (at least for me). 5 nights would be perfect
We feel the same way. Unless the itinerary is the entire goal of the cruise (Alaska or Europe), 7 nights gets a bit repetitive for us. 3 nights is nice, but over a bit soon. 5 nights is that happy medium.

We’re the exact opposite! More nine nights would be ideal for us. Lol, I guess they just need more variety for everyone!

Yes, more nights. Worst morning of the cruise is the morning you got to get off. Anything to prolong that morning arriving, so more nights. One perk of a back to back is sitting on your veranda on debarkation morning not stressed, drinking your coffee and watching everyone else getting off, knowing you still got a whole additional cruise ahead of you.

Nine nights is perfect, in my opinion. I haven’t done an 8 night but I bet that would be good too. We haven’t been lucky enough to do a back to back, but I would love to.

Back to back is great. Only got to do one but it really takes the stress off because you go through your first cruise knowing you have a do-over cruise right after it, so you're not worried about missing anything, you'll just catch it on the next one. The only problem I foresee that may be different now is the Covid thing. Before Covid when your first cruise was over they just take you off the boat for about 30 mins and then you're right back on for the second cruise. Now with Covid, I think when they resume cruising there will be a long deep cleaning between cruises causing the back to back cruisers to stay off the boat between cruises a lot longer. Still not that big a deal but it will be a little different than the way things were.

COVID is going to change a lot, that’s for sure. Did you keep your same room? I’ve always debated doing one, but maybe upgrading halfway through to help save a little money by not having the nicer room the whole time.

but packing ... ugh!! and then unpacking again, after having to WAIT for your new room to open up ... ugh!!

but packing ... ugh!! and then unpacking again, after having to WAIT for your new room to open up ... ugh!!

We had the same rooms, so we didn't have to pack or wait for them to open up again when we got back on. Our room attendant knew we were back to back. I wouldn't do a back to back unless I had the same rooms for both cruises for that very reason. That was the tricky part, explaining on the last night why we were not packing to the kids. We surprised them with the back to back, they didn't know until the morning we were supposed to get off on the first cruise. When explaining why we were not packing the night before, we told them we had a packing service. Now years later on our non-back to back cruises, our youngest, not understanding the packing service thing was a ruse, still asks why we cannot use the packing service on the last night.
