I think Im gonna cry when we get on the plane going to FL-lol, when we drive up to the ship, when we board ship and hear our names called, when I hear the horn blow "when you wish upon a star", Disney Dreams, when I have to leave the ship, when will you cry?

We leave in 1 1/2 days and I'm already getting teary eyed just reading the boards!! I just finished packing (we're spending a week on land before boariding the Magic for a week) and I am just so excited to FINALLY start our honeymoon!!!! I'm sure I"ll be bawling like a baby when the plane actually takes off and when we check into the hotel, etc.... I'm crying more now than I did on our wedding day! LOL

what always chokes me up is the last scene in Disney Dreams when the pixie dust envelopes the ship (gulp!!)

I will be way to happy and excited to cry when we finally cruise... When I will want to cry? At the end, when it is all over!!! That's when I always want to cry...

After a trip to Jamaica, on the bus back to the airport, our guide, who had always told little stories and sang little songs, he was quiet... We all started a chant Song... Song!!!

So he obliged. " We're leavin' Jamaica...., Jamaica my home.... Land of blue waters...." I needed tissues!!!!!

If you have children, then you will sob like a baby during the "Discover the Magic" stage show! I know DH and I both did!

PUFFS....
As this is our first Dis cruise I don't know, but, I would imagine when I first see the ship, see my DGC's eyes and excitement, hear the horn, but especially when it's time to say good-bye to our Seattle DD, DSIL and 2 DGC. That always breaks my heart :(

OK, who embedded that sound file? ;) Was it you, Pluto4President? And how can I get it?

GoofyDisney - You are soooooo right!!! I bawled my eyes out during the show! Watching her march down the aisles and taking her place onstage was just too much for me :) :) :)

For us...DD3 yrs was not big on the clubs and was crying a lot during the week....we weren't even sure she would do this show. But we just wanted her to enjoy things, so we kept trying, and so we took her down for the rehearsal and then the show.

Right before "DTM" I could see her sitting in the hall ready to go in the theatre, and rather than walk down the hall to the theatre and risk her seeing me and starting to cry I had to go back to mid ship then up the stairs to 5 only to find out that you can't get to the aft elevators b/c of the Lab, then back down the stairs to 4 then to 3, walk past ROckin Bar D to the aft elevators to take me up to 4 so I could get into the WD theatre without getting caught....

Turns out she loved being in the show. She was so happy on stage. Clapping and waving and singing like all the other kids. She had the time of her life and she is still talkign about it!!!

It made us cry to see her enjoying doing this!!! It is a beautiful moment anyway, it is a sad moment cause you know the cruise is ending...but for us, especially, we were crying b/c we were so happy to see that she was indeed having a magical time "discovering the magic"!

Well I've sailed twice and both times I cried driving away from the ship after the cruise ended. The 7-day was harder to leave than the 3-day. I hope that next summer, when my cruise ends, I'll just be alittle sad because I know I'll return again.

Maybe if I book onboard, I won't cry!

I'll tell you what made me cry. I just finished reading LisaFB's website about her brother, Jerry.

Oh, my Lisa! What a terrible thing to have happened! I, too, lost my brother this August (25). He was 48 and he had colon cancer since March. It happened one week before my husband, Stu, and I were to open in a production of "State Fair". It was a very hard time and, even though not totally unexpected, shocking to say the least!

I think it is beautiful that you paid Jerry such a wonderful tribute on a website for us to appreciate your special relationship. I wish I had that talent. I could only arrange a beautiful memorial service for my brother, Tom, and dedicate my performance in "State Fair" to him in the program. Every night, right before the curtain would go up, I'd say "Enjoy the show, Tom -- now you have a front-row seat." He wasn't able to see me in the shows as he lived in MD and we live in FL.

Thanks for sharing and pardon me for veering off the thread subject for a bit.:(

The last night when they slip the bill under your door. I cried and cried and cried... (That cashless system can sure add up!!!)

Of course Disney Dreams and Discover the Magic can be real tear jerkers. Final morning with our server staff wasn't exactly tear inducing but it was sad to say goodbye since they were so wonderul.

BTW imgoingtodisney, we have been on two cruises and they announced our names on the first one but not the second. We were pretty disappointed! They still took the welcome aboard picture.

Ok, Ill admit it....

#1, When the plane took off! I was relieved to finally be going on this trip, petrified to fly, and I guess a little nervous about leaving the kids for the 1st time.

#2, Sailing Away! We were inside, counted down, "Celebration" started playing, the balloons dropped and kids were popping them left and right. I was so embarrassed! I couldnt believe I got teary eyed. I still do every time I watch that part of my video.

#3, During Lilo & Stitch! Well, I would have done that even at a theater at home. Some parts were sad.

#4 Disney Dreams! That last scene is a real tear jerker. If its not sad enough that the trip is almost over, that show just puts you over the edge.

Too funny CSX2!

Sounds like my DH.... We're really gonna have keep some pretty tight reigns on that card!

:D :D :D

I cried as we headed out of the port after our Wonder cruise. Even thought DH had booked a 7-day before we got off, it didn't really help. That next cruise just seemed so far away!

Hopefully when we get off the ship this time, I will realize that a year does not take that long to pass when you have so many folks to talk to on the boards!!!

P.S. How did you guys get that music on this thread?????

FOJMO, thank you for what you wrote about my brother and the website I created! I'm so sorry about your loss as well. It's tough to lose someone you love, no matter how sudden or not sudden it is. But our brothers are up there watching over us and are our guardian angels!

Call me a cry baby, or just overly sentimental-I got those warm fuzzy feelings when I first heard the Mickey Whistle, but the tears began when we were on the DCL bus headed for MCO. I watched the ship fade away until it was out of my sight. Love that sound wave.....I have it on my desktop, just click and play.!
