When a thread is deleted

How do you know when an entire thread is deleted? (other than it's gone of course). Am I missing it? Did it get pulled? IS there a way to tell? Would an entire thread get killed totally?

You generally are notified by a mod or webmaster that something was pulled and why.

I hope that you find your thread. Believe me, even I have lost threads, only to find them some time down the line.

ETA - If a thread has been pulled and it is a thread that you only have posted to (not started) or only have been reading, then you will NOT be notified about about it being pulled or why...

you just never find it and then you never know why and then you log on to find hundreds of PMs from friends that were on this thread and they will tell you it was **poofed** that was the only way i found out! good luck finding it!!!

oh dear how could i forget the most important part good friends are lost and you lose tons of posts

Still don't get why only certain posts couldn't be deleted, not a whole thread
