My son would like to go to IOA and meet spiderman. I know the spiderman ride is out, but are there any rides that will take a wheelchair? I am thinking about something like the wheelchair accessible "car" on the Buzz Lightyear ride at MK. How about Universal? I checked the website and it seems like we will be out of luck, except for the shows, but thought I'd ask here. Thanks!

I can't think of any rides that have a specific wheelchair designation. but when my daughter was in one due to an injury, we still rode everything. we just took her through the queue to a point where they took the chair. I carried her to the loading area. they had the wheelchair waiting for her at the end of the ride.

The only rides I can think of that allow wheelchairs onto the actual ride are in Universal (Men in Black, Earthquake). I don't think there are any at IOA, although most rides are easy to transfer into if possible.

My son is 12 and can't sit alone, so he would need to stay in his wheelchair. Even if we can't do any rides at IOA, meeting Spidey will make his day!

I don't know if you already looked at the ADA page on the Universal site, but you can download a copy of their "Rider's Guide" which details exactly what the accessibility is for each ride/attraction.
A little wheelchair or ecv icon shows that someone using those would be able to experience the attraction without getting out. A little person icon getting up out of the wheelchair or ecv means a transfer to a ride car is necessary. There are some attractions where a person using an ecv would need to transfer, but someone using a wheelchair would not.
According to the Rider's Guide, he would need to transfer to go on the Spiderman ride. Just look thru the guide and you will find some things he is able to do. They are pretty completre about "needed abilities" (like do you need to be able to hold on, etc).

I will check out your link. The only info I found on the site was that you needed to be able to hold on, sit , etc. and I know my son can't do that. Someone else gave me a link to a page that says the Seuss Carosuel can be enjoyed in a wheelchair as well.
