Several month ago there were posts about a new system of loading wheelchairs on busses. If I remember correctly, the wc was to wait in line with everyone, and when they got to the front of the line they were to go to the back and try to load or wait for the next bus. How did that work out? Do they do this still, or have they reverted to the old way, of WCs waiting in the wc spot.

If there is someone in a wheelchair at the bus stop, the bus driver will open the back door first and leave the front door closed to passengers.

He/she will assist the wheelchair bound person on the bus. If the person needs to be assisted by a family member (I have seen a family member get on when the wheelchair bound person is mentally disabled and could get disoriented w/o assistance).

Then he/she will close the back door and open the front door to passengers.

I am fairly sure that the wheelchair bound person is also allowed to disembark first as well.

This is pretty much right except the wheelchair (and ECv) person is the last off the bus. Its all about the safety of the wheelchair bound passenger and the other passengers on the bus.

Does the wc wait to the side in a spot with the wc symbol, or does the wc join the line with everyone else? If memory serves me, at the resort, the wc spot used to be toward the back of the bus, and at the parks, the wc would use the exit route at mk bus stop for instance.
