The last time we were in Disney my daughter was undergoing several tests and her body was just not in a good place. She had hives head to toe, was passing out and it was a scary mess. We had to rent her a wheelchair to get through and it helped with the fainting but of course not with everything else. Long story short her thyroid is still not under control but getting there and she still has hives everyday but we are coming this summer for our 20 year wedding anniversary! Question is should I just monitor how things go when we get there or assume she will need a wheelchair again this time? I don't want to take away from anyone else who needs one. But I don't want t repeat picking her up off the floor either.

Do what is best for your daughter and your family's needs. Don't worry about taking anything away from others. I have not known WDW to run out of manual wheelchairs. Another option is to rent offsite so you have use of the chair to/from the resort.

You don't have to make the decision today, but monitor the situation and keep the wheelchair as an option. See how she's feeling when the time is closer.

Congrats on the anniversary and enjoy your vacation!

Thank you! Hopefully her Endocrinologist and Immunologist will have things under better control but I will keep an open mind and monitor her when we are there and go from there.

I agree. They have plenty of wheelchairs so don't feel that you'll be taking somebody else's that might need it also. They're there to use WHEN you need them.

If you feel it is needed, you aren't taking away from anyone!

To save money, you might even try an off site rental. This will allow her use of it as needed eevn when you aren't in the parks.

another voting for off site rental esp for end of day getting to whatever transportation. this would allow for her to sit while waiting, to avoid picking up off floor or concert. also remember that park rental chairs can not go out the gate and where she could handle getting in from transportation leaving is a different story. not the sane reason but have gone down while waiting at end of night

Thank you everyone!!! I will look into the offsite options now so I have all numbers I will need to call.

We use Apple Scooter for a wheelchair for Mum 18 days for her is $125 as much as I luv Disney they can't beat the cost and having it with us....priceless.
