One person in our party will be in a wheelchair. How does that work with the lines? Does the person in the wheelchair go in a different line and wait for us or do we all go on that line with her?

We are a party of 11 and I would rather not get split up.

I don't have the answer but I'm also curious. We will have one person in our party in a wheel chair. Mostly because she could never walk the entire length of the park and enjoy herself.

Do you rent wheel chairs the same way you do strollers?

Hello!

In order to get an answer to your question, I am moving this over to our DISabilities board. Please check there for further replies.

Enjoy your trip!

First of all, I would like to :welcome: both of you to disABILITIES!

You might both look at the disABILITIES! FAQ which will answer many of your questions.

However, with the exception of a few lines at MK, all of the queues are "Mainstreamed", which means that a person in a wheelchair or ECV does not bypass the line. The only problem which may be encountered is if the person cannot transfer, for which waiting for a specific ride vehicle might be necessary.

As a general rule, if there is need for a special entrance or special seating, it is normally restricted to the person in the chair and not more than five additional people. This is not to say that if the park is not crowded and you are polite to the CM that rules may not be bent.

Please feel free to ask additional questions as they come up.

just agreeing with what Cheshire Figment said.

In the disABILITIES FAQs thread, there are some links in one of the posts. One of the posts is a link to the Guidebook for Guests with Disabilities from the Disney site. That has a list of the attractions that have Mainstream lines (where people with wheelchairs wait in the same lines with ptople without wheelchairs).

The Disney-MGM Studios and AK were built with Mainstream Lines. The other parks have updated many attractions to be mainstream as they were renovated.
