We have a MacClaren major special needs stroller that we use for my 11 year old son when we go to Disney. But he is a big kid at 5'5'' and 110 pounds and is getting so hard to push around in the stroller. He recently had foot surgery and we rented a wheelchair that was hard to push too. This is probably a stupid question but is there anything that is easy to push around a larger kid/small adult? We are going to Disney Land in October and Disney World in January and need something. I'm just wondering if we stick with the MacClaren Major or look for something else. He hasn't had any significant mobility issues until his foot operation and hopefully won't need the stroller/wheelchair except for Disney. TIA!

I would suggest contact one of the companies listed in Post #2 of the FAQs and ask about a pediatric wheelchair. Give his size information and they will be able to provide you with the help you need and you will be able to get something suited to his size.

Just to let you know, but depending on the type or wheelchair you previously used, that may have been the problem with pushing it. When my sister really started have more mobility issues someone loaned her an older wheelchair they had while we waited to get hers. It was so difficult to push her in that we did not take her many places unless she was moving well enough to use her rollator. Once we got her newer one, we had no problem pushing her. I even pushed her along unpaved hiking trails this past weekend.
