Previously the entrance for electric wheelchairs for BTMR was the exit. Is that still the case? My mom hasn't ridden it in years. Trying to decide if we need FP+ for that ride.

Peter Pan still the same also?

Big Thunder Mountain entrance for wheelchairs did not change.
Guests using the regular line board on one side of the track and exit on the other side (out the other side of the mine car). There is no way to get a wheelchair to the other side of the track, so guests using mobility devices need to use a different entrance.

Guests with wheelchairs have reported they are getting wheelchair return cards (kind of like a handwritten Fastpass) at BTMRR. They work like a Fastpass - you are given a return time and need to return during the return time window to ride.

We were at Big Thunder Mountain a few days ago with a person with a wheelchair. We had not gotten fastpasses for the ride, so we were given a return card to allow us to come back after a wait equivalent to the standby wait. For us, having pushed our relative all the way up to the ride entrance, we didn't think it was worthwhile to leave the area and then have to make the trek up to the ride again. So, we gave up and left.

A few days later, we booked fastpasses for BTMR and returned. With our fastpasses, we were sent straight to the exit, and we got on the ride in just a few minutes.

So, for us, fastpasses are the definitely the way to go for this ride.

Hope your family has a wonderful time on the ride!

Was the rest of the party included in the return time you were given originally?
