Figured I'd post here to get specific about my concerns.
My wife has mobility issues. Like many, she can walk, but not for very long so we travel with a wheelchair. That's why the US Disney parks have always been one of the best places for us. Being very accommodating to her. She also has other health issues, which we just found out this year qualified her for DAS, which really relieved her considering the direction her health is going. but that's either here nor there.
We are contemplating maybe doing Disneyland Paris next year. But I'm really concerned as the "culture" is not the same when it comes to things like this. I DO see they have a sort of "assistance" card you can get, similar to DAS. But it also looks like you need some paperwork to get it? It also says a "diagnosis from your doctor is not enough". She is not on any sort of "official" disability, but her doctor, ostheopath, physiotherapist, etc are all in agreement that she needs assistance.
has anyone here been in a similar situation and gone to DLP ? How did it go? What did you need to "prove" your disability? I'm assuming a "letter from her doctor" won't be enough...
( On a similar note, and one I haven't looked into at all, what about Tokyo Disneyland? )
Thanks!
