We will be staying at CBR and will have a scooter rental. One night we plan to go to the Hoop Dee Doo musical review. We have a car and to save time we have thought about driving to Fort Wilderness, however my mother in law will require a wheelchair or scooter and we won't have the scooter if we drive. Are wheelchairs available near the parking lot at Fort Wilderness or will we have to take the scooter all the way from CBR. We will have a similar issue getting to La Nouba. Can we drive over and get a wheelchair at Disney Springs? Do I need to rent both a scooter and a wheelchair? Thank you for your help!

I do not remember seeing wheelchairs at the Fort for use while there but also if you drive remember you will have to use an internal bus back to Hoop as there is no car parking and that includes handicapped. you are going to need the scooter for her at the Fort. the normal boat from MK to the Fort is able to take scooters most times unless water level is so low that can get them on. also you will need to use the secret door from Trails End to get into Hoop as there are steps at all doors in. the ramp is at the Trails End door. confused me the first time last time even sent our whole party of 14 that way , not just my husband and me. as for Disney Springs you might be able to rent a chair but you will have to pay for it as there are no loaners as such.

To the best of my knowledge, there will not be courtesy wheelchairs in the FW parking lot.
Option 1: rent an ECV that can be broken down and transported in your trunk. You still need to park at the Outpost and take the internal bus.
Option 2: bus to MK, boat to FW, short walk/scoot to HDD. Allow 96 minutes, worst case scenario. Assumes just-missed connections the whole way.

Absolutely no courtesy wheelchairs, per se, at Disney Springs. You would have to go to Guest Services, leave a deposit, get the chair, take it back to the car...
