Hello all!

My father was paralyzed on our last trip to Florida. The family decided to take a trip to Cocoa Beach and it didn't turn out so well. My family has finally decided it is time to return and have lots of Disney fun! Our problem is we are trying to find a suite that will be great for my dad's wheel chair and has all of the goods for HA. Because my little sister, her boyfriend, my family's friend and his daughter will also be staying in the same room as my parents, they would like a suite:) I can not find any pictures of what POP or any of the value resorts suites look like for HA. Please HELP:) I would really appreciate it and also any advice for anyone who has traveled with a Paraplegic or in a wheelchair:):yay:

Currently there are no suites at Pop Century. Disney is in the process of building family suites at a new resort near Pop.

Right now the only value that has family suites is All Star Music.

You can look here for pictures:

Thank you very much for the link. I noticed on the boards that someone was talking about them having a bigger family and that Disney comped their connecting room? How do you go about that?

You don't. Each guest needs to pay for a room (s) large enough to hold their family. Traditional room size at most WDW resorts is 4 to a room. If you have 6 people, you will need to book a suite large enough for 6 people or pay for two rooms.

When you are ready to book, ask the CM to contact special services to make sure the room you need is blocked out for you. They should be able to assist you further.

You might be thinking of families who would fit into a standard single room but, due to the changes made to the accessible room could not fit into a single accessible room. For example, a family a three people could fit into a normal room (two double beds), but would have issues with an accessible room if it only had a king bed. Disney (and other hotels) have various ways of dealing with these situations. Since a group of six wouldn't fit into a standard room, this doesn't apply to your situation.

Depending on when they are traveling, the Art of Animation may be an option. Otherwise, a suite at All Stars or two rooms, are the only options (well, the only value options - there are also two bedroom villas at some of the DVC resorts).

There are also the cabins at Fort Wilderness.
