My daughter broke her ankle early in October and had surgery 2 week after.
She is out of her cast but in a boot for another week and then Physio. I have no idea is she will need a wheel chair but I'm not sure she will be up for a lot of walking either. We leave in 4 weeks! Since this is not our first trip I'm planning on taking it a little easier than the last 2 times.

Can anyone recommend a wheelchair rental company.
How far in advance so I need to book this?
Thanks.

How old is your daughter? If over 18, she can use an ECV as opposed to a manual chair, which would give her greater independence and your arms a break.

The sticky at the top of the forum contains contact info for a variety of vendors. I just got back and had an ECV from Apple Scooter- they also rent wheelchairs. Walker Mobility is another source, as is Care Medical (for wheelchairs).

I know that "Disney preferred" vendors can leave ECVs at bell stands. I don't know if non-preferred vendors can leave wheelchairs for pickup (saving you from scheduling a time to meet them).

The 'non-preferred vendors' do need to meet with the guest for delivery and pick up.

Only the 'preferred vendors' can leave equipment at bell services.

Follow the link in my signature to the disABILITIES FAQs thread or, as SteveMouse mentioned, look near the top of this board.

thanks for your reply but my Daughter is only 12. I would go with a preferred company so it could be left with the bell service.

I'll go check out the FAQ link.
Thanks.
How long do I need to book and how much is the cost for a weekly rental?

Those answers vary a little by the company.

There are website links and phone numbers in post 2 of the FAQs thread.
If your 12 year old is on the small side, check out the companies that are listed as having smaller size wheelchairs.
