Its raining right now. But its been raining. We got 5.5 inches of rain over the course of 2-3 days. Our backyard flooded. it didnt come up to the house though. so that is good.

Up to 7 or 8 FREAKING inches of snow in beautiful Kennewick, Washington, today--late start for school tomorrow (yeah) DH has to drive me to work in his truck!

But the evergreens in my garden look pretty

After a beautiful, sunny, and cold day yesterday, It's snowing this morning with already an inch of snow on the ground. The kids will be excited when they wake up as it's a snow day. Everything is winter white and beautiful.

Well we have a blizzard warning comming our way. Our temps will plummet to about -38 degrees celcius. I'll take California rain over a good ole Saskatchewan blizzard! LOL!

Well, practically everything in Spokane is closed today, so that gives you a great idea of conditions here.....snow, ice, snow, ice, and then LOTS OF SNOW! (with more on the way)

I live on the southside towards Finley, the back yard measured 11 inches. Came into to work at 0530 to find out that the Practice has been closed for the day...as long as I am here might as well work on P and P's. Could not believe the number of people on the road this AM.

I live on the very west side of town. We teachers don't come to work without an act of Congress, don't you know.

But there is no way that my little Corolla is going to make it down the hill today until some of this CRAP melts off.

One of the office staff showed up and she is cancelling all the patient appointments for today, I closed the Sleep Lab for tonight and we will do day by day for now. Some of the patients are not real happy, hope the weather backs of for a bit.

Well... looking out the Desert Inn and Suites lobby window.... it is VEEEERRRY WINDY! It's not been stereotypicial Cailfornia weather! I left Oregon to get AWAY from the wind and rain! Oh... and cheap dollar store ponchos... worth NOTHING in a steady rain! Too thin! The thicker the better! lol. Good thing I packed my rain slicker! (Now... just to remember to bring it into the park!) Hopefully the wind will die down soon so we can go to the park... if not... I'm thinking this is our day off. We got 6 day hoppers thinking we would, for one day, do nothing but stay in the hotel room and rest... I'm thinking this is the day! lol.

So... Moral of the story? DO NOT GO TO DISNEYLAND IN JANUARY!!! TOO COLD! HAHA (We're having fun anyways! lol... we're from Oregon... Rain doesn't phase us! haha!)

Hi-- I'm in Oregon too, we had originally planned to drive Thursday night and spend 5 days-- kinda glad it didn't work out this year.We are planning for spring break next year-- nuts I know but I want some good weather and don't want to take the boy out of school. I was wondering if you would post a review of Desert Inn and Suites when you get back on trip advisor or here, it's a motel I'm really considering, thanks, Susan.

In Utah right now we have blizzard conditions. YIKES!! Glad I am home with 2 little DS's and not out driving around. Looking forward to warmer weather when we go to DLR the first week of March!!

Oh no, don't listen to captsparrowslady!!! I recognize that Sunday was worse than last Friday, but the rain keeps people away! So the rides are walk-ons! I had NO lines on Fri and Sat b/c of this, even though Sat was pretty and sunny in the AM. The threat of rain later on (which turned into a storm on Sunday) kept people away.




There's snow on the ground today in Tacoma. It was actively snowing when DH was walking to the lightrail to get to the train station for his commute to Seattle.

Sacramento area here. Rain, rain and more rain off and on for days now. I'm really looking foward to my trip in a couple weeks.

Wasn't today's sunshine great? I sat out in my car at lunchtime and soaked up all I could.

We went to DL in early January 2006 and I froze to death even though I was dressed in layers along with a jacket. I wished I'd brought my winter coat, there was such a cold biting wind! It was sunny though.

I was really hoping we'd have better weather for our trip next week. I told DH that it might be a waste of time bringing his golf clubs but he told me I worry too much! Of course, he'll golf in just about any weather.

It will be nice to leave this snow behind but I'm going to be depressed if it rains all the time. So far the forecast for next week looks much better so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
