Does anyone else do this?

I'll buy a new Bath & Body works scent and only use it while were in WDW. Most of the time it's the body cream, maybe the spray. I try not to over indulge because I know some people are very sensitive to perfumes and other scents.

When I get home and use it several weeks later, it'll bring me right back to WDW again!

Since B&BW has their seasonal scents out right now I was going to try and save Vanilla Bean Noel for our upcoming trip, but I couldn't hold out! I love it!

If I like the Twisted Peppermint which debuts in a few weeks, maybe that'll be my WDW scent for our next trip.

So...does anyone else do this? :confused3

Definitely! I used Tangerine Spice only at WDW, and whenever I need a reminder at home, I'd use it. The only problem is that they discontinued Tangerine Spice years ago, and I'm still holding on to my last few ounces. I suppose I ought to break out with a new scent. So if you ever "smell" anyone at WDW wearing B&BW Tangerine Spice, that's probably me.

Yes. I do it too! I love being reminded of WDW!! This trip's scent was Bath & Body Works Cotton Blossom. :thumbsup2

OOoo I'll have to think about that next time! I never even checked to see what I use heh. Bad thing is a lot of the lotions and purfumes are to strong for me and make me get sneezy and itchy.

Side note:

For all the people that use purfumes and strong lotions be sure to lower your amount because for one I'm sure I'm not going to feel good after having to walk through hundreds of people with strong lotions and purfumes. :crazy2: And two you'll probably get a glare from all of us with allergies for those lotions and purfumes. ;)

I remember Tangergine Spice, it was one of my faves as well.

They always seem to discontine the scents I love! Bamboo Pineapples was another good one!

I never thought of doing that, but I may have to try it!

For now, my "Disney scent" is the Mickey Mouse soap in the rooms. We always bring a few home with us. A few weeks ago we ran out of our regular soap so I opened a bar of the Mickey soap and it took me right back to WDW. I woke my 4 yo DD after my shower and she said to me, "Mommy, you smell like Mickey Mouse!"

OMG I thought I was the only loony toons out there that did stuff like that! I have done the lotion thing and I also bring a new scented air freshener!!!!!! A new flavor of course. This trip was a "plug in" called Vanilla cream and now when I use it at home it totally reminds me of the trip! My Mom used to bring new scented candles (then that seemed to get a little risky).
It's always nice to find other people doing crazy stuff like me out there!
Thanks for sharing!

Yes, I did this for my first trip since I had read this idea before -- maybe it was from you "Blondie" -- anyway, it was Sensous Amber Myrrh.

I was going to use a different scent this time (love Lotus Blossom and I also just got the new Sensual Amber) but due to these flight restrictions, I don't think I trust putting a big bottle of stuff in my checked baggage sooo ... will have to be a smaller scent that I have used before ... maybe my small spray of Beautiful.

Anyway, this is a great idea. (PS: I owe my SOUL to Bath and BodyWorks!)

I also do the same. My favorite Disney Bath and Body scent is usually something FRUITY.... I think when I leave in 2 Weeks (Did I say 2 WEEKS) I am bringing my Coconut Lime Scent...YUM YUM,,,, :yay: :yay:

I did this for my March trip (but not my Oct trip) - heard about it on the Disboards, too. I used a plug in from Bath and Body Works in Bartlett Pear. Also, anytime I smell Laila perfume it brings me right back to WDW!

I usually do this with body wash since I don't normally wear perfume but I know what you mean.
By the way I got a small bottle of the Twisted Peppermint 3 in 1 and it smells good but the scent goes away pretty quickly. The Hot Chocolate on the other hand is fantastic and it lingers for quite awhile.

Its sort of similar for me.
My mom wears perfume down in Disney World and it always seems to stick in my mind more than if I was smelling it at home.
So when I get home and she wears it, its so familiar and reminds me of WDW.
One time I told her "Mom, you smell like Disney World."

PS- She thought I was nuts.
:rotfl:

I am one of those people who is very sensitive to scents. Especially Vanilla. I encourage everyone not to wear perfume of any sort when they will be in a crowd. JMHO.

Myst

OHHH!!! I love this idea. Using a special scent for WDW...I'll have to remember that for my next trip.

Unfortunately, I have no trip in the makings right now.

I actually just went to Bath & Body Works in search of new Foo Foo Stuff (I think that term may be Copyright Nate) for my upcoming trip! They had some really cute gift sets for cheap that would be perfect for travel, but they only had em in the coconut lime verbena, which doesn't really float my boat! Gotta keep searching, I guess!

Amen to that.
I never wear anything scented in the parks since it makes me so nauseated to smell scents on other people.
