What's your Point?

1. How many total points do you have?
4,258 DVC points.
2,000 at OKW
500 at AKV
500 at BCV
400 at VB
400 at BWV
358 at VWL
100 at HHI

2. Do you prefer Studios - One Bedrooms - Two Bedrooms - Grand Villas?
We like GVs at OKW, Beach Cottages at Vero and 2 BRs (dedicated when possible elsewhere at Disney)

3. Do you use your points for off-property stays (Cruises, Disney Collection, Adventurer, Passport, Conceirge)?
Never, it is more 'economical' to rent points at $12.00 each and use the 'proceeds' to buy the other options.

790 pts.

200 VWL (4 contracts)
200 BWV (2 contracts)
240 AKV (4 contracts)
100 BCV (2 contracts)
50 HHI (1 contract)

I prefer one bed if just my DH and me.

2 Bed with our two kids or a guest couple, or just me with two GF's.

Grand Villa if more bodies!

Have to have the Washer & Dryer and Tub.

Have a cruise booked with points, and would love to try Adventures by Disney Italy in a few years.

So far NO

We've got 470 - 230 at HH, 120 at SSR and 120 at AKV

We've done studios, 1 br and 2 br - depends on who is along!

We've been to Vero (loved it!), HH (REALLY loved it), a couple nights at Yacht Club, AK lodge - prior to AKV - and we leave in the morning for an II trade to Marriott's Manor Club at Ford's Colony in a 1 br for a week - can't wait!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

OP sorry to go :offtopic: , but jejojual can you let us know how that trade works out? That's one that we've considered because we have good friends that live near there. Thanks! :goodvibes

Absolutely! I'll try to post a trip report - I guess I can do that here since it was a trade with dvc points?!:confused3 We've stayed there before - several years ago - pre DVC for us - and LOVED it! Stay tuned...:)

1. How many total points do you have?
540 pts:
390 at SSR
150 at VBR

2. Do you prefer Studios - One Bedrooms - Two Bedrooms - Grand Villas?
We always stay in a 1-BR, but our 12 YO son feels he's now entitled to his own bed! ;) We'll more than likely be moving to a 2-BR soon!

3. Do you use your points for off-property stays (Cruises, Disney Collection, Adventurer, Passport, Conceirge)
We have not yet. We may take a cruise next year, though. Still trying to decide!

150 pts at BWV.
We prefer 1 bdrm and try to get standard view to save points.
We've only used points at WDW.

We have 250 points at SSR (hoping for an add-on at AKV or K'Olina one day).

We're just a family of 3 so we stay in studios to stretch our points for more visits per year / trades.

We are using points for a 4 n DCL cruise next month!:thumbsup2

300 at the Boardwalk
300 at Saratoga
1 Bedroom is the norm for us
Never switched out

230 OKW.
If it is just DH and I either a studio or 1 bedroom, when my sister and her family come it is a 2 bedroom.
Only WDW resorts for us so far.

1. 1,000 total points
2. Studio if it's just us and we're conserving points. 2BR if we're taking family along. 1BR if it's just us and we have points to spare. Never stayed in a GV.
3. We typically use points for cruises and have also used them to stay at Grand Californian concierge, Polynesian concierge, and Contemporary.

400:
240 BWV
100 SSR
60 BCV

studio if just DH & self (specifically, BW view studio:cloud9: ), 1 if one or 2 of our kids come, 2 bedroom if 4 or more ppl.

traded out to DCL when the point cost was more reasonable. hope to use them for a vaca to italy and/or africa someday.

will prob add on when BLT becomes available, & sell our BCV points then (we simply don't care for the BCVs as much as the others:confused3 ).

We have 825 points: 335 at BWV (3 contracts); 250 at SSR (2 contracts); and 240 at AKV (1 contract). We have a September use year. We are intrigued by BLT, but we might hold off on any add-on until the Hawaii project comes available.

When we travel with all four of us (2 dads, 2 daughters), we always get a 2-bedroom. When DCUP (OK, that looks somewhat silly, but what would we call a Darling Civil Union Partner?) and I travel alone, we go for a 1-bedroom to get the better bathroom. We do book studios for friends and family traveling with us.

We have used our points for cruises (4 of them thus far), hotel stays at WDW and DLR and resort stays outside of Disney (Manhattan and Keystone, CO).

Sorry to go OT but, what do you mean you go for 1 bedroom to get the better bathroom? We have had the same bathroom whether it was a 1 or 2 bedroom. Are some different?

275 @ OKW
We prefer a 2-bedroom, stayed in a studio once at BCV with DD for a weekend. Otherwise we have been in 1 or 2 bedroom villas.

Traded through II once for Ft. Myers Beach condo.

1) 350 total points - 200 BWV, 150 SSR. 2 different use years

2) I prefer Studio for point per night savings, but DW prefers 1 Bedrooms for space reasons. If we are treating family/friends to a room during a joint vacation we will stay in a studio - otherwise we splurge on a 1 bedroom.

3) So far we've only used points for DVC stays, but will consider using points for a cruise in 2010 (30th wedding anniversary trip)
