What's your opinion?

I grew up with disney movies and cartoons so theyre a huge part of my childhood ... plus i still enjoy them now just as much as i did back then, so Disney is a big part of me by now :)

Well, the first time I went to disney world (which i don't remember at all) I loved it. I have been there since then about 13+ times. I also go on Disney Cruises, which I have been on 10 of those. I just love Walt Disney world, and I'm glad the people he knew and the people that have and had a passion for disney overcame Walt's dream. I read a book over summer for a school report. It was about Disney. It was pretty good, non-fiction, telling the readers about his life and who he worked with, what he did in the animation world, etc. When ever you enter your resort, the people in the guard houses make the welcome enjoyable by saying " Welcome Home. " It is true to me because everytime I enter the Boardwalk resort I feel right where I should be. When people ask me what I want to be when i grow up, I usually don't respond, or I just say I don't know. But sometimes if I'm comfortable with it, then i either say on the Disney cruise or in Walt Disney world.

Well that's my story.

When I first went to WDW it changed my life.
Walt Disney changed my life. All the happiness.
I love Disney.

The things that Walt Disney has made, the movies the parks, etc are all something that I can share with my family. I can't just talk to them about some random tv show I watch, but I know they're always willing to discuss WDW with me.
I've been watching his films before I could speak. They were my favorites. I rarely watched a movie when I was little that WASN'T Disney.

I've been going on vacation do a Disney related park for as long as I can remember. Back when I was little and my family still lived in CA, we went to Disney Land all the time and then when we moved to Texas (where I live now) we started going to Disney World. Every vacation to a Disney park gave us a chance to get away from 'the real world' and get to spend time and have fun as a family. When we're at home it can be extremly buisy with my younger sisters dance compititions, my fathers storm spotting, and my mothers photography. It's nice when we're finally able to get away from all of the chaos for a few weeks out of the year and visit a place that every member of my family has come to know and love. A place where everyone's dreams can come true, regardless of age. If it weren't for Walt Disney, this place wouldn't exsist.

Look at what he did.
Look at what he made.
Look at what has become of it, years after him.

Everyone is familiar with Mickey Mouse or Disney World, all over.
Everyone will crack smiles at Disney.

That's why Disney's important to me.

Does I need to think he's important to be on a Disney forum?

Well do you not think he's important or have no interest in Disney whatsoever?
If the latter,I see the PP's point.

Selfish answer: HELLLLLLLOOO!! Look at WDW and DL.
Real answer: He created some awesome pieces of work. Pieces of work that turned into movies that are a part of my childhood. Something I will never get back, because I've been "forced" to grow up.

...He isn't. He's condemned to my personal hell. o_o'

I just don't think he's important. He's just another person to me..

honestly, he's not terribly important to my life. Yes, i love Disney world. i do. =why i'm on this site. but, he has not personally affected my life. what he started has touched me, but you have to remember, disney world really isn't too much walt its been years and years and years since his death, and theres not much left there that he's really personally be involved with.

part of me wonders if he would be happy with what his followers have created in his name.

Well, he accomplished something great that has lived on years and years after his death. He created something that generations of people will enjoy and it is a place for everyine to act like a kid. He was an amazing person and I thnk what he achieved was amazing. :) And if the places he created are important to you, then he should be at least alittle imprtant to you. Because he created them.

Walt Disney and the Disney Co. created a place where people can have fun, forget the world's troubles and their own fears, even if it is for a few days. It's where you can interact, play games, see shows, ride rides, have fun with the family.

Its important to me because my mom, dad and my brother and I went there soon after my grandpa died. This was like... 3 years ago. It really cheered me up so whenever I think of WDW i think like all happy

thank u Walt!!!
