what's your opinion on Avis at MCO?

I think I'm going to use Avis for my trip in November. What's been your experience with them? Do they have anything like EA or Dollar Fastlane?

I have always used AVIS and never had a problem, yes they do have a Fastlane ( I don't remember what it's called ) but I have never tried that, they never had a long line either, checking in was quick and checking out even quicker!

I've used Avis frequently in my business and liesure travels. They do offer Avis Preferred Service. You make a reservation and your car is waiting in the Preferred Aisle with the contract in it. Avis at MCO has always been pretty good. You don't have to worry about shuttles or anything as you can walk to/from the cars.

I have an Avis Preferred membership and I use it exclusively at MCO. I just go directly to the kiosk in the parking garage and the rental contract is always ready and waiting. Once they were out of the class I reserved so they gave me a 2-class upgrade .

I recall there's an annual fee for Preferred unless you belong to an organization that is affiliated with Avis and has arranged for free membership. Mine is free through the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA).
