What's your opinion of Whispering Canyon Cafe?

We ate there on our trip last September. Everyone had the skillet and really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was fun too. My three kids liked it and we plan on going again when we visit this October.

I think like with all places you have to try it for yourself. We go there on our arrival night every trip. It is loud, but it ges us in the Disney Spirit. We love the food, in particular the skillet, but the steak there was good too. Desserts are great but we take them to go for breakfast the next day.

We would give it :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 (2 Thumbs Up!!!)

We've ate there three times. The first time in '05 was good, '06 was just so-so, the last time in June of '08 was awful. We had the skillet and everything was greasy, even the corn was greasy. I would highly recommend not going. I will say the cornbread was delish. If you are going for the antics they are very hit and miss, it just depends on you're server. Of all the times we've been we've never had a server who was really into it.

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
We would go, even without the antics.
Last time my husband devoured the skillet. This place gets such mixed reviews, but I would rate it as good or better than most chain BBQ restaurants.

We ate there this month and the food was so-so at best. None of us got the skillet which is what generally gets good reviews though. DD isn't a fan of pork and I am diabetic so all you can eat stuff is wasted on me. DH just wasn't hungry. So DD got the pasta and said it was OK, I got chicken and it was pretty good. Can't remember what DH got but he said is was not the worst meal he's had at Disney but certainly not the best either. DD did say that the bottomless milkshake was awesome.

We'd eat there again if we happened to be staying at the Wilderness Lodge. DH would like to give the skillet a try if we went on a day when he was hungry. But we wouldn't make another special trip to eat there although the atmosphere was fun.

We've been there 2 times and its on our list again for our upcoming visit. We love the food and all of the fun and antics!!!
