What's your favourite attraction moment?

Haha, you're referring to the shocker!

I imagine he slipped that one in on them (no pun intended) during the filming. If Disney only knew .... :thumbsup2 :rotfl2: :lmao:

I laugh every time I see it, as it is one of my faves as well.

My other favorite is that first drop on ToT. Gets me every time! :cool1:

OK...what is the "shocker"? I have always wondered about this gesture and knew that it must mean something, but I didn't know what. Anyone able to explain. (I am over the age of 21)

For thrills:

The countdown and first few seconds of Aerosmith, especially if Sweet Emotion is playing. I just close my eyes and it feels like I'm floating.

When the doors open on ToT, my tush out of the seat, just getting a peek of the rest of the park before dropping again!

The light tunnel at Space Mountain.

The backwards part of EE.

For lumps in the throat:

American Adventure ALWAYS gets me.

Wishes gets me, too.

For fun:

The stretching room with "no windows and no doors" in HM. I get picked on by CM's often here, I guess because I am so into everything.

The dirty foot at PoC, just like everyone else. Why do we like that? :rotfl2:

The "Two Brothers" Civil War sequence in the American Adventure at Epcot...Gets me every time. :thumbsup2

Oh my gosh, I cry every time!!!

My favorite is at the top of Spaceship Earth, when you come around the corner to see the Earth. It gives me chills.

Seeing Tinkerbell in Phillarmagic and hearing all the kids "Tinkerbell" along with the ooh's and ahh's of the parents!

PM me if you really wanna know ...

Caution: it is harsh! :teeth:

Wow what a great thread, makes me wanna go back now! :goodvibes

One of my favorite moments on a ride is on ToT, RIGHT before the elevator door closes, the CM that says a spooky one liner. As if you aren't freakin out enough! :scared1:

Another is at the end of Soarin...the FIREWORKS part, I just love it!!

My 7 yo's favorite moment is during Philharmagic, when the jewels come floating right to you in 3D. He is enchanted by that entire show (we all are!) pixiedust:

As a former L.A. girl, I have been to DL several times. Now that I live in FL..I imagine that WDW will someday overtake the amount of times I have been to DL.

Fave moments from DL rides...I imagine the same if not similar to WDW:

-HM...as you depart the doombuggy you have a surprise ghost visitor who sits with you. I always love trying to guess which of the three it will be. Also on HM, at DL they used to have a CM try to scare people in their doom buggies. I used to always try to scare them first. I made a few jump!! hehe

-PoC....there is always someone who doesn't know about the two drops...and oh how I love that... pirate:

-SW....there is just something so warm about being on this ride. Makes me feel 5 all over again

-Matterhorn....the yodeling music while you wait in line.

And I love just sitting back and watching all the people wander around....especially people who have never been there. There is just something about DL/WDW that just makes you feel ageless. It brings back old memories..and creates new one too. :thumbsup2

What a fun thread! :thumbsup2

Mine are:

~the initial acceleration up the tunnel in Space Mountain (I can just feel my excitement level rising exponetially)

~the finale of Illumination; I am such a Disney geek that I actually listen to the soundtrack in my car!

~the Electric Light Parade - especially the music; I last saw this at Disneyland in the fall of 2004 and was SOOOOOO happy it was embarassing

~the finale of Fantasmic - again, the catchy and triumphant music just makes me grin

~the moment during Tower of Terror when the windows open and you can see a panorama of the park . . . and you know you're about to be really in for it!

~the entire ride of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Disney does more intense roller coasters, but it's hard to beat this one for pure joy. I just giggle when I hear the voice tell me I'm about to experience the "wildest ride in the wilderness"

~walking up Main Street for the first time each vacation. Is there any better feeling than knowing you've finally arrived in the magic and have your whole vacation still ahead of you?

~the last part of Soarin', when you glide up Disneyland's Main Street, end over the castle, and watch the fireworks. What a moment!!

WHAT!? I gotta know what "the shocker" is... :listen: This has turned into a "family" thing we do everytime we agree on something around here. I just thought Steven was shielding his eyes from the glare as he glanced out at his fans. Oh, Steven Tyler, you naughty boy! Do tell...

I always like riding the Tomorrowland Transportantion Authority (TTA). Just hearing the line "Now approaching...Mickey's Star Traders..." makes me smile.

That gets me too!! I don't know if it's the voice or the ride (it's my favorite ride in all of WDW) but it's hearing that makes me truly believe I'm in WDW. Also the part on TTA when you go through the "prototype community of tomorrow" and when I was a little girl I always wanted to live in there. I still do. :goodvibes Just seemed so peaceful...

in MGM it has to be the time i missed getting into the hot seat because our session ended. i was first on the board for the next game. my DS was more excited then i was.

I was in the same position last time I went to MGM. I was hoping to prove it wasn't a fluke when I return later this year but I now hear Millionaire closes in August :sad2:

I always get a lump in my throat during "American Adventure" at Epcot. Sometimes, even a few tears.

Me too and I'm not even American :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Seriously though, the film at the end of Walt Disney: One Man's Dream at MGM has a strange effect. Those concentrated clips of happiness, sadness, etc causes my contact lenses to get a bit itchy some reason ;)

peter pan's flight - right at the beginning when you are about to set "sail" and peter says "come on everybody, and here we goooo. off to neverland!". I love that!!! The sounds of the cars honking as you fly over London. Just those little things make me so happy. Ok, I'm silly. I'll stop now :teeth:

I could not have said it any better!!!! These are my favorite parts on my favorite ride as well. :tinker:

BOy ,there are so many
At the MK.. Hairy Leg guy..Disney cares so much about the small details that you can see the hairy legs on the pirate. It shows how much Disney cares about the little things
Ballroom on the Haunted Mansion ..I love that
IASW...The room with all the countries..'m a dreamer and beleve just for a second that we can all get along and be one

Space Mountain .. As someone wth a 8terminal illness who was not supposed to be hear much past 1993,every time I ride spacemountan and realize where I am.,who I'm with and that I have defied all odds and can still ride roller coasters...Well it still gets me

EPCOT
LOve SE.. I love it when you turn the corner and see the earth from Space. t chokes me up
Impressions DeFrance... I'm not sure who composed it but that slow haunting music at the begining gets me every time

And I like going on the ToT and pointing out the "hidden message" on the board near the elevators! People don't know about it and they get freaked out when I show them!
My sister, her friend, and I went running up to see it at DL and a CM comes behind us and in a creepy TOT voice says, "This isn't Florida" We couldn't stop laughing and watching everyone go look at it after us.

My favorite Disney moment is the intro to Haunted Mansion. My sister and I have it memorized :rotfl:
And the carousel. No matter how many times we've been there, we all always go on the carousel and we always have our picture taken.
