We are going on spring beak again this year and have already been to blizzard beach. Is it the best like I have heard in the past or is there a better option. We loved blizzard beach, but what does everybody think?

I know other posts have probably been made about this, but I'm really just wondering if any opinions are changing with more recent experiences.

Curious what you thought of Blizzard Beach, as we hope to head there this year for the first time!

Personally my family loved it, theres a lot of different options for people who do and do not like thrill type slides. For example there are very large slides which are incredible if you like thrills, but there are also a much smaller slides that are gentle raft rides of sorts that aren't very fast moving along with an incredible lazy river. It's incredibly clean compared to other water parks I have been to and the food was even pretty good. The wave pool is pretty impressive too and unlike most waterparks, the floats are free to use anywhere in the park. Overall it's a very fun day and unlike any other waterpark you could find anywhere else. The theming is incredible as well. Hope that helps, I don't think you can really have a bad day there. :)

Thanks, appreciate the information. Weird question but do they have photo pass photographers there and do characters appear in the water park at all?

I like Typhoon Lagoon because it makes me feel like I'm on Gilligan's Island. :sail:

The theming at Typhoon Lagoon is awesome! The wave pool can't be beat. The lazy river is everything a lazy river should be: tropical, shaded, a bit mysterious...

I've never cared for Blizzard Beach, even as a preteen in the 90's. We'd always hit up both waterparks until I told my parents how I really felt about BB. Come to find out they had been including it in their plans only because they thought I liked it. I think BB is best suited for young children. Even my parents who are now in their 60's have a blast in the wave pool at TL.

I've never been to Aquatica or Wet n Wild.

The Disney water parks are good but I have to go with Aquatica, best variety of rides and attractions for everybody in the family and the dining and shopping options are much better than TL and BB.The Disney parks win with the free parking and are probably a bit nicer as far as theming and being more lush with more trees and shade, especially TL,but overall Aquatica has more variety and unique attractions like the fast Roas Rapids lazy river, better kids areas and incorporating the animals into the attractions like the Dolphin plunge slide.I've also had very bad experiences eating at the Disney water parks,at BB I had my all time worst burger experience eating a hamburger that was cold and looked like a burnt hockey puck.At TL I had a sandwich with the bread nearly frozen,it literally must have been in a freezer 45 minutes earlier.

Favorite ride is Crushin Gusher at TL & my daughter LOVES shark reef. But, overall we prefer BB as it just has a lot more to do and the slides are better. It has an excellent family raft ride while the one at TL frankly sucks - worst family raft ride I've ever been on anywhere. Edit: We really didn't care for the wave pool at TL either. It's totally unique, but for us the novelty wore off very, very quickly. We spent a LOT more time in BB's milder pool.

We've not yet been to Wet N Wild or Aquatic, but plan to do both in July :)

I prefer Aquatica by a mile! The variety of rides is awesome, lots to do, with little wait and few crowds. There were some really unique water rides, like the fast lazy river (crazy fun!), and the dolphins and other wildlife were a nice element. We're going back in March.

Well just this morning my DS15 told me the only reason he is excited to go back to Disney is for the 6 ft. wave at Typhoon Lagoon:rolleyes:

We have also been to Blizzard Beach and Aquatica. Overall we like BB the best but all three are a great way to spend an afternoon. My kids and DH love waterparks more then the theme parks and we spend quite a bit of time at them. I am not a much of a fan but I go along because the rest of the gang loves them so much.

I've only been to Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. The theming at both is pretty good. I'm not a fan of the wave pool (I still have the scar from when I fell over and cut my arm lol). I prefer the slides at BB, the toboggan one is my favourite so for that reason I chose BB. Both are fun waterparks though, so you'd have a good time wherever you go. :)

my DH and DDs all prefer Blizzard Beach, but I voted for Typhoon Lagoon because it is MY favorite! I love the theming and the relaxed atmosphere, and Crush N Gusher is one of my favorite things in all of WDW.

I do enjoy BB as well, though :)

I think your poll is going to be skewed to BB and TL just because that's what most on this board have done before. However, I've heard that Aquatica is awesome and you should check it out!

If you're planning to do both Disney water parks, is there any rhyme or reason for which one to do first? This September we're doing the water park option for the first time. Can't wait!! Woohoo:jumping1:

Typhoon Lagoon for the Wave Pool which just about my favorite thing to do in all of WDW. Also we really love the Shark Reef!

We spent almost 4 hours in the lazy river at Typhoon Lagoon last September, hopping out to go on Crush n' Gusher & through the shark reef a few times. It's easily our favorite ;)

Out of those listed Typhoon Lagoon but we've never been to Aquatica.
