When we think of Disney World we always think about the major attractions like Pirates of the Caribbean, Test Track, The Tower of Terror, or Expedition Everest.

But there are other attractions hiding in the shadows of the big ones, these attractions can be called underrated because they may have been major attractions at once that have been demoted into minor status because of newer rides taking their draw away.

So I started this board to let people share their favorite underrated attractions, I'll start with mine:

My favorite underrated attraction is Living With The Land at Epcot, I like the detailed scenes before the greenhouse part, especially the farm scene because it reminds me of my home state of Kansas. The green house part is just amazing with all those things they grow in there, and the creative ways they do it. To think that many people do not know that there is another ride in The Land that isn't Soarin.

I'll definitely agree with you on "Living with the Land" - I really enjoy that ride. Educational and entertaining at the same time :thumbsup2

My favorite underrated attraction is "Carousel of Progress." It was one of my dad's favorites growing up, and I always find myself singing the song a month or so after returning from WDW ;)

I went on Carousel of Progress last summer, it such a classic, most of the jokes flew over the modern audiences heads, but I have to agree the "Great Big Beautiful Tomarrow" song is very catchy.

im with you all on the COP such a classic.

i also think that living with the land is also very nice to do when its hot out... not a block buster attraction but defo a nice break from the heat.

Ditto for the Carousel of Progress! It's a must for me every trip. I'm singing the song right now!:goodvibes

I'm a fan of Living the Land as well. I also go on every trip.

The Hall of Presidents is another one.

My personal must-do is always taking multiple rides on TTA. It brings back fun memories of when I was a young boy and my parents took me to MK in 1982 (and yes, for you youngsters- that was BEFORE Epcot was even built)!

Im glad to see some love for the Hall of Presidents, I hate when people say its boring, its a really powerful show, while were on the topic of patriotic shows: The American Adventure is like a sequel to The Hall of Presidents, covering everything else in American history, its a must see.

I've never been on the TTA, but I've watched the cars going the track above Tomarrowland and thought it would be a good place to relax on an long day at the Magic Kingdom.

TTA for sure, and I really like Ellen's Energy Adventure. Some people say it's boring, but I enjoy everything about it, from the air-conditioning to the movie to the dinosaurs.

I also really like the Great Movie Ride.

A daredevil, I am not.

My favorite underated ride would have to be over at EPCOT. I just love World of Motion... oh wait... umm... how about Horizons then with that great citrus smell and the kids excited to pick the "future"... oh wait.... ok... ok.... how about a show instead... let's go with Kitchen Kabaret... the kids walk around for hours after that one humming the Veggie Fruit Fruit song.... uh... oh shoot.... never mind! Man am I gettin' old. ;)

I've never seen Ellens Energy Adventure so I won't judge, but the Great Movie ride is awesome, The Wizard of Oz scenes towards the end of the ride are my favorite parts of the ride.

These are all before my time, but when I was little I always wanted to see the Kitchen Kabaret/Food Rocks show, by the time I got to the parks, they had replaced it with Soarin.

We love Living with the Land, Journey to Imagination with Figment( My DD 17 favorite), and Ellen's Energy Adventure.... We have never taken the behind the seeds tour but maybe this year.

COP and the tea cups - love the tea cups! So simple and yet so fun.

I have to mention that its not just rides that can be underated, how about an entire fireworks show, Im talking about Illuminations: Reflections of Earth.

Sure its a bit outdated and could use an update, but its a pretty powerful show with beautiful music, I teared up at the end either from the low hanging smoke or the idea of all the countries coming togethere for world peace in the finale.
