What's your favorite tan paint (for inside house)?

We're big fans of Benjamin Moore Historical And Americana colors - I have shaker Beige in my master and Yosemite Sand in my kitchen. they are very close to each other, both very colonial, warm tans. The "color ladies" at the Benjamin Moore store have been very helpful to us in the past - helped me pick a very difficult blue for my living room (Black Pepper) and green for my TV room.
Good Luck!:)

We have shaker beige in our kitchen & dining area, and yosemite sand in our hallway.. our master is Shelborne buff

We just painted our living room cafe au laite (I'm not sure I spelled that correctly) from Wal-Mart. We don't plan on living here too much longer, so I didn't spend a lot of money on paint, but I LOVE it. We used it on the wainscoting and then on top too. Looks great with white trim and chair rail.

Benjamin Moore 1032 Bar Harbor Beige is what I had in my old house.

I have this too!! LOVE it!!!

I used Legend Tan from Glidden. I'd say almost half my house is painted with it and I'm very happy with it.

My daughter used "Woodruff" in her bedroom which is a darker tan and she put brights with it (pink, turquiose) and it looks great! We also used it in the den (the only room we did "knock-down" walls). Everyone always goes on and on about that color choice. It is a nice darker tan. :)

Good luck!!

We had 10-15 colors of paint samples on our walls also, looking for the perfect beige color. We were trying to duplicate the color we had seen in model homes in our area but also didn't like the undertones. We finally just went back to the model home's office and asked, and it was Frazee paint, and the color was Sienna Sand. Totally love it, and used it for our last home, which got lots of compliments when we had it up for sale. It's also what we used in our current home. It looks different depending on the light in the room and the shadows. Frazee told us lots of decorators here use it, and also Krisp Khaki, which is more of a brownish paint.

Benjamin Moore Stone House. It was picked for us by the color guy at the BM store. A designer favorite it turns out. I really like it and want more of it.

Coffee from Valspar at Lowe's. I've had several people copy it including realtors when we were selling our house. I kept getting calls about my paint color, neutral but a little bit darker. It doesn't really look like coffee, more like coffee with alot of creamer! ;)

We just built a house & are moving in now! :cool1:

I had the toughest time finding the perfect neutral. I'm not into yellow tones & absolutely hate pinky beige. After spending over $200 in sample paint from Sherwin Williams trying to find the perfect colors for our home, I found my "beige". It is Universal Khaki by Sherwin Williams. :thumbsup2

We have gotten the most compliments on it!! Love it!

We have a lot of natural lighting in our house & this color is perfect!

Kilim Beige is also a good one, however, it was too light for our house.

Well 2 years later, and 2 houses later I've also used:
Benjamin Moore's Shaker Beige, which has been mentioned a few times. I painted a friend's house in Benjamin Moore's Stone House, which has also been mentioned.

In my 'other' house I used Benjamin Moore's Fairway Oaks and Great Plains Gold. The Great Plains Gold is dark and need a large room with LOTS of light.

Of course grey is the new beige and I'm currently high on Benjamin Moore's Nightingale.

I found a color that I really like, but I think it is too dark. Can I ask the paint guy to make it a smidge lighter when mixing it?? Is that even possible? Will is ruin the color?
