I used to use the spray on sunscreen b/c it was so much easier and quicker to put on myself and three kids. It can be expensive, though, and it stains some clothes (mostly white) orange!

I have tried Target brand lotion sunscreen and it's a bit messy and sort of greasy. I like the sticks for putting sunscreen on the face, but you have to be careful not to get it in the hair or it makes that greasy/matted.

I was wondering if anyone has a spray they like that doesn't stain if it gets on clothes or a liquid sunscreen that feels more like a lotion. I prefer an SPF of 30-50 for my kids, esp. in Florida.

Reasonable prices are important too! :thumbsup2

Thanks! :)

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer (lotion). It is non-greasy and I wear it under makeup every day. It doesn't aggravate DD's eczema, and it goes up to SPF 70. It has UVA and UVB protection.

DH likes the Neutrogena Cooling Mist spray sunscreen, but I prefer the Ultra Sheer.

Costco has two 3 oz tubes plus a 1 oz travel tube for about $15.

another vote for neutrgena their product goes on smooth and dry. I like the spray too although it is a bit pricey.

This is my hands down favorite sunscreen for my face. I sometimes use Copertone sport on my body, and spray on at the beach.

I like Aveeno continuous sunblock lotion for my body and DERMAdoctor Body Guard for my face.

Bullfrog, it holds up all day even in the caribbean ocean. It's yard to find here because I guess you don't need as much so they don't sell alot of it. The spray cans don't even last a week at our house.

I actually like Ocean Potion (I think that's what it's called.) It doesn't sem greasy to me and I love the fact that it doesn't smell like sunscreen if you KWIM. I always use SPF 30 or 50 depending on what I can find. Just thinking about the sun makes me burn.

Thaks for this list! I didn't use any on Sat and now I am dealing with the consequence!

Bullforg is the only sunscreen we use at the lake on the boat. It works. I have tried a lot of other brands but none are as good as Bullfrog.

I like Avon's SSS bug guard SPF 30 spray. We used it yesterday when we were working in the yard and we weren't bothered by the bugs at all and didn't get a burn... a miracle on both sides :goodvibes

I always used No-Ad on the kids but last year I tried to find some without those methylparabens or whatever. The spray ones don't have it and Coppertone sport (I think) doesn't have it. I did learn the hard way last year not to use the spray sunblock and then send the kids into a highly chlorinated hotel pool :scared1: Their skin felt like it was burning! Now we just use those on the beach and lotion for the pool.

I agree with the bullfrog statements. I have a DS who burns easily due to a medical condition. Even though it is only 36SPF it last SOOOOOOO much longer. I have tried alot of the others but hands down Bullfrog is the best!!!:cool1:

If you can afford it, Sheseido has an amazing facial sunscreen, not greasy at all, it's really silky and smooth. They have a body sunscreen lotion too, but I've only the stick sunscreen.

For an afforadable option though I second Neutrogena.

We use Banana Boat kids SPF 50 for the whole family, and love. We're all really pale and burnpretty easily.

The store 5 below had the spray bottles of lotion for $5. I think it was for Coppertone 30SPF. That's the best price I've seen them. I should've bought more.

We use AD....the no name brand. It goes to 70spf and my blonde haired, light skinned kids have never been burned. It is the least expensive I have found and works fine.

I cannot wear sunscreen with PABA in it, so I usually get Avon or Alba Botanica. They aren't the cheapest, but work for me. I am very fair skinned. They are a thicker lotion.

My favorite for years was the No-Ad (Sport). Then they shrank the bottle and added Disney characters and uped the price.

I then switched to Hawaiian Tropic Sport.

I'm going to try out the Banana Boat Dry Block lotion one. It smells good and isn't greasy. I printed off a coupon at http://www.bananaboat.com/ I don't like the mist one that they carry-too messy.

One of my daycare families has only bought the Banana Boat Kids lotion for their children. It lasts quite a while as they play in the spray park and I don't re-apply before walking back to my house.
