What's your favorite song on the radio right now?

Rodney Atkins' 'Take A Back Road'
Ronnie Dunn's 'Cost of Living'
Jerrod Niemann's 'One More Drinkin' Song'

It's weird about that "pumped up kicks" song, because it's getting a LOT of radio play on the mainstream stations right now. BUT I remember this song was really popular on our local rock/alternative station (that is now off-air :guilty:) about a year ago - I think the single came out in Sept. 2010. I wonder why it took so long to get into the mainstream.
Anyway, I do like that song...

But the one I love hearing come on the radio is that "sexy and I know it" song by LMFAO. The video is so funny!

"The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie" - RHCP (http://youtu.be/RtBbinpK5XI)
"You Make Me Feel" - Cobra Starship ft Sabi (http://youtu.be/HpyZEzrDf4c)
"Stereo Hearts" - Gym Class Heroes ft Adam Levine (http://youtu.be/T3E9Wjbq44E)
"It Will Rain" - Bruno Mars (http://youtu.be/fwr1hm_oBxE)
"Headlines" - Drake (http://youtu.be/cimoNqiulUE)
"5 O'Clock" - T Pain ft Wiz Khalifa & Lily Allen (http://youtu.be/noLrCDzAp5M) ... pretty inappropriate but I love it! :upsidedow

I DO love "Sexy and I Know It", but mostly because it's so stupid.

Trust In Jesus by Third Day
or
Do Everything by Steven Curtis Chapman

'Windows Are Rolled Down' by Amos Lee

'Back Down South' by Kings of Leon (instruments are just beautiful on this one)

'Comeback Kid (That's My Dog)' by Brett Dennen

I also really like 'Pumped Up Kicks' but the lyrics are a little disturbing. I was shopping at Walmart the other day and heard someone singing the chorus from a couple of aisles over and it was a little unsettling.

I agree! I didn't realize what it was about until someone pointed it out- can never listen to the song the same way again!

Anyways, I love "Trip The Darkness" by Lacuna Coil & "Sexy & I Know It" by LMFAO. :goodvibes

"We Found Love"- Rihanna
"Paradise"- Coldplay
"Princess of China"- Coldplay & Rihanna

I'm not even a huge Rihanna fan (although I am a huge Coldplay fan), but these two new songs of hers are so hot!

"Good Feeling" - Flo Rida
"What Makes You Beautiful" - One Direction (however, I am peeved it can't be downloaded through legal means in the US. Impatiently waiting.)
"Blackout" - Breathe Carolina (not sure how new this really is).

Grace Potter has got to be one of the most( if not the most) underated/underappreciated talents out there...I don't think there is a genre out there that she can't own.:thumbsup2

I've been a GPN fan for a while now. Have seen them in concert twice and it's mind-blowing! I don't know what's better...her voice or her band.

I don't listen to popular radio, so this thread is interesting in that I didn't know that some things I like are even on popular radio. Is Amos Lee on the radio? That's awesome !

And for anyone who is discouraged by the Pumped Up Kicks lyrics, Foster the People is a great band all-around and the whole CD is fabulous. Check out Helena Beat, I like it better than PUK.

My favorite song that I'm pretty sure is on the radio now is Foo Fighter's Walk. I just ADORE that song ("do you remember the days, we built those paper mountains and sat and watched them burn.")

I don't think this is on the radio, but I'm really excited about a new band called Fitz and the Tantrums. Going to see them next week!

They are playing Amos Lee's Windows Are Rolled Down quite a bit on Lightning 100 here in Nashville. It is an independent radio station that a poster on the American Idol thread turned me onto last year (thanks Mandy!) I listen to this station most of the time now. It is such a refreshing change to hearing the same songs over and over. Don't get me wrong, I really like Adele and Lady Gaga, but how many times can you listen to the same songs. I think that you would love Lightning 100. They play a lot of their music from new acts. You can check out their new music play list on their website to get an idea of some things that are ready to take off in popularity.

I did watch Foster the Peoples mini concert on the the David Letterman website. Some of their other songs are really good.

I'll check if they're on IHeartRadio!

I really like

"Tonight, Tonight" by Hot Chelle Ray
"Laundromat" by 7 Sharp 9
"Party Rock Anthem" by LMFAO
"E.T." by Katy Perry

The Laundromat song is only heard on the local high school radio station. I totally love that song, and don't know why. It is so catchy!
