Like many others have said "Pumped up Kicks".
You & Tequila by Kenny Chesney & Grace Potter
God Gave Me You (of course I'm in wedding mode and this is my song for the wine box ceremony on Saturday)
Yes, that one. Interesting video.
Love it!God Gave Me You (of course I'm in wedding mode and this is my song for the wine box ceremony on Saturday)
I also really like 'Pumped Up Kicks' but the lyrics are a little disturbing. I was shopping at Walmart the other day and heard someone singing the chorus from a couple of aisles over and it was a little unsettling.
Mine is Moves Like Jagger by Maroon5! Absolutely love it!!!
Grace Potter has got to be one of the most( if not the most) underated/underappreciated talents out there...I don't think there is a genre out there that she can't own.![]()
I've been a GPN fan for a while now. Have seen them in concert twice and it's mind-blowing! I don't know what's better...her voice or her band.
I don't listen to popular radio, so this thread is interesting in that I didn't know that some things I like are even on popular radio. Is Amos Lee on the radio? That's awesome!
And for anyone who is discouraged by the Pumped Up Kicks lyrics, Foster the People is a great band all-around and the whole CD is fabulous. Check out Helena Beat, I like it better than PUK.My favorite song that I'm pretty sure is on the radio now is Foo Fighter's Walk. I just ADORE that song ("do you remember the days, we built those paper mountains and sat and watched them burn.")
I don't think this is on the radio, but I'm really excited about a new band called Fitz and the Tantrums. Going to see them next week!
They are playing Amos Lee's Windows Are Rolled Down quite a bit on Lightning 100 here in Nashville. It is an independent radio station that a poster on the American Idol thread turned me onto last year (thanks Mandy!) I listen to this station most of the time now. It is such a refreshing change to hearing the same songs over and over. Don't get me wrong, I really like Adele and Lady Gaga, but how many times can you listen to the same songs. I think that you would love Lightning 100. They play a lot of their music from new acts. You can check out their new music play list on their website to get an idea of some things that are ready to take off in popularity.
I did watch Foster the Peoples mini concert on the the David Letterman website. Some of their other songs are really good.
