Whats your favorite romantic film?

Return to Me.
David Ducovney (sp?) and Minnie Driver. Set in Chicago, always a great choice in my mind! Great supporting cast including Bonnie Hunt, Carol O'Conner, Jim Belushi...

This is such a wonderful movie. Highly underrated, if I remember correctly it was panned by the critics when it was out in theatres. I skipped it and waited until it came out on video and I've loved it ever since. I think I have seen this movie a half a dozen times and never get sick of it.

"An Officer And A Gentleman" (sigh)

Wuthering Heights with Lawrence Olivier and Merle Oberon. It gets me every time.

The Notebook. I bawled like a baby, and my friends wont let me forget it! :sad1:

Gone With the Wind
Casablanca
An Affair to Remember (the Grant/Kerr version)
You've Got Mail
Runaway Bride
Notting Hill
Love Actually

wow, there are a ton more but it is too early to think! :)

you may all find this strange, but i cry at Pcohontas every time :guilty:

GWTW

Romeo and Juliet, the 60's version.

An Affair To Remember. That was on TV the other day.

But, Out of Africa... WOW. I always swear I'm not going to cry at the end and I always do!

Return to Me
The Notebook
Sabrina (the remake with Harrison Ford)
The American President (got to love Michael Douglas)

I Love "Bridges of Madison County"
I love that film.
"This kind of certainty comes but once in a lifetime." Sigh....

My favorite is While You Were Sleeping along with several others that have already been named.

Speaking of An Affair to Remember, it HAS to be the Cary Grant/Deborah Kerr version. The version that was filmed about 10 years ago with Warren Beatty and Annette Bening was awful. (I'm sorry to say that because it was Katherine Hepburn's final film.) For two people who are married to each other, they have absolutely NO onscreen chemistry! I've never seen the original version with Charles Boyer and Irene Dunne although my mom tells me it was very good.

I just love that movie- I was balling with the last scene- what is more heroic than having the courage to watch just because he wanted you to?
Is that the part that got to you too??

The Age of Innocence
I LOVE this movie, haven't seen it in a long time.
I also love Sense & Sensibility and The Notebook. I also love Titanic, mainly because my DH always hums the music to me. :lovestruc

Definitely THE NOTEBOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I do agree with another poster that the book is better, too. That tells you how great the book is since the movie is fabulous!
I also love Return To Me and Sweet Home Alabama.
However, THE NOTEBOOK is my favorite!
