Well we already decided what we will be doing in Jamaica (bobsleds)but we can't decide on the excursions for the other two ports. Any reccomendations? Also we welcome, "what not to do"

Fury Catamaran in Cozumel is our #1 for sun and water, the Jeep tour was very cool as well. In Grand Caymen, we have done the sNuba and that is awesome if you like being under water. Mostly in Grand Cayman we go to Margaritaville and hang out, there is a pool and slide inside for the kids and its right across the street from where the tenders come in.

We did the Dolphin Extreme Swim and Turtle Farm (G31) in Grand Cayman and swimming with the dolphins was the highlight of our trip. We were unimpressed with the turtle farm and would just do the Dolphins next time.

What are tenders? Is there a fee for the kids to use the pool and slide? Margaritaville is a restaurant and bar, right?

In Cozumel last May, (Magic) we Scuba Dived but not through Disney since my DD only turned 12 in January, so we used Papa Hogs. In Grand Cayman we did the Turtle Farm/Swim with the Dolphins Adventure

Going in May!
We've booked the DCL excursion to Xcaret in Cozumel (looks like an awesome place) and will do the Turtle Farm on our own in Grand Cayman.

In Cozumel we usually go to Paradise Beach on our on. We will be going there again this summer. The one time we went to Grand Cayman we did the tour of Hell and the Turtle Farm, which we enjoyed. I probably wouldn't do it again, but thats just because we've done it. I would recommend it for a first timer. :)

The Xcaret (sp) dolphin swim and beach time was by far our favorite excursion from that cruise. Very relaxing and we are not normally "relaxed". lol. We have very little kids, so we did a glass bottom boat ride in the Cayman and it was SO much more fun than I thought it would be - but we're very science-y people. It may not be for everyone. My husband visits Cayman frequently for work and he suggests diving (he got his PADI certification there).

We enjoy Stingray city in Grand Cayman. We've done the deluxe tour through DCL twice and have had great service both times.

We also enjoyed snorkeling off the beach in grand Cayman.

My DH and my brother and his family loved the Fury Catamaran in Cozumel. My DH said that was his favorite excursion in Caribbean.wish I had gone but our DD wasn't 5!

If we were to ever to go back to Grand Cayman, we would do either stingrays or turtle farm.

The port at Grand Cayman is not deep enough to allow the cruise ship to pull all the way in. So, they transfer you via a smaller boat. (no cost for tender)

And yes, Margaritaville is a bar/restaurant. The one at Universal is also a had souvenir shop.

So, in true varying opinion fashion...my kids really love the Turtle Farm on Grand Cayman. They loved it at ages 6 & 10 and again when they were older. The second time we did it on our own & stopped at a public beach on our way back. The first time we did it was with the Dolphin Swim excurion. I was so excited about the dolphins and savored the experience, but at the same time felt funny about it. They had all these rules that we were supposed to follow (like marine safe sunscreen), but they didn't enforce any of them when we were there.

On Cozumel we have done Nachi Cocum on our own. It's an all-inclusive (food, drinks) beach club where they only allow 100 guests per day. They have a nice pool that my kids really enjoy since its so big and uncrowded compared to the one on the ship. Its also feel great to have a respite from the crowds on the ship.

As stated, yes it is a bar/restaurant and there is not a fee to use the slide or pool. Great place to just hang out and relax.
