DW, and 2 DD's (11 & 13) will be in the MK on Sunday, November 7. The park is open till 9:00 that night.

I'd like input as to the best places to enjoy Disney Wishes from.

Thanks in advance,

JG

Sitting on the street in front of the Castle, looking up with wide eyes, on an uncrowded day or when I don't have to fight the crowds immediately after Wishes.

With a major crowd, at the end of Main Street USA, in front of the train station, poised for a quick takeoff just after the finish.

Ahhh, Wishes.

Right in the middle of Main Street-- somewhere right where the Ice Cream Parlor is.

Or, The Polynesian Beach-- quiet, uncrowded, no admission required.

we like to watch it from the circle right in front of the castle. That was a great spot!!

Our fav place is on the balcony of the concierge lounge at the CR (14th floor). It is totally awsome!! Plus, they play the music.

1st time....definately in front of the castle......

BUT

At least once you've got to see it from BEHIND the castle.... right by the carousel......... the fireworks are shot off all around you...... Totally different, and very kewl

Just be cautious to make sure you stand 'up wind'.....

And if things are really crowded around the castle (I mean TOOO crowded cause it's always crowded during Wishes) we've enjoyed a sit on the Terrace of Cosmic Rays over looking the old boat launch. The view is ever so slightly obstructed, but it's much less crowded, you can sit and relax.

My favorite spot is in front of Caseys so when it is over I can run inside and get a hotdog and some hot chocolate and then we sit at a table and watch all the people go by. Perfect!

We watched it for the first time from the platform above the train station. We had to get there 2 hours before the parade to claim our spot, but we are taking 4 trips this year to WDW, so we had time to kill. We had chairs and a small table and were front and center of the castle. It was wonderful. The two hour wait was not so bad as I love to people watch. You gotta try it at least once.

This August we were able to see Wishes twice during our trip.

The first time it was near the flag pole at the beginning of main street.

The second time, it was at the end of main street, right across the street (closer to the castle) from the Partners Statue.
I DEFINATELY preferred the closer view.

But had I not seen both, I would have thought that the view from the beginning of main street was just fine. :)

Like QUADMAN we like to watch it from behind the castle near the carasel (sp). Fireworks all around you. It is beautiful.
My spelling is awful tonight. LOL

The Second Walkway to Tomorrowland/Fanstyland close to the hub about 25-30 feet away from the hub circle. You can see all of the neat stuff that gets projected onto the castle and it was the best view! It was unbelieveable I totally reccomend it. We watched Spectro in Liberty Square and were able to move over to the bridge for Wishes and oh my gosh I have chills thinking about it. If I can figure out how to post pictures I will post some. Overall, I would reccomend having a good view of the castle.

I agree with AimeeM, the circle in front of the castle but be on the right hand side of the circle as you look at the castle from main street becasue Tinkerbell leaves the Castle from the right hand side and glides over to the first Tomorrowland building to start the show. There is nothing like seeing Tinkerbell glide overhead and then see the fireworks. Talk about Disney magic. Its pure pixie dust. The smiles on the faces of the kids who see Tinkerbell fly is truely unbelievable. No other spot will do.

Do you mean the circle where Walt and Mickey are, or the forecourt where they do the shows and character meets?

If you only get to see it once, see it from Main Street, or somewhere else pretty much in line with the front of the castle. The way the fireworks are in front of (and behind) the castle is amazing.

One thing to note... don't ask a CM the best place to watch it! I have noticed that all of the CMs are giving bizarre suggestions about where to watch the fireworks. My mother listened to them and tried to watch from frontierland near Splash Mountain and didn't get as good a view of things as she should. I suspect that they are concerned about overcrowding on Main Street, so they don't encourage more people to go there.

:D

I watched Wishes from the circle in front of the castle (the castle was to my left). It was an awesome view and I suggest standing there or any other area on Main Street, USA for first timers. Definitely worth checking out.

We just returned from the World and had the pleasure of taking in Wishes from the porch at Narcoossee's. The restaurant dimmed the lights and piped in the music, and we had a nice sightline for a lot of the show. The magic was spoiled a bit by rude adults, but to us, it was a nice way to avoid the crowds of Jersey week. Being so far away did not give us the full effect, however.

Depends on which way (and how strong) the wind is blowing. In August, we watched from the Tomorrowland bridge, and the wind was blowing from Frontierland to Tomorrowland, so the fireworks ended up off center from the castle, and right in front of us. My MIL stated that she thought the show was 'just for us', since we had a "front row" spot on the bridge.

We've watched from the Rose Garden (off castle center) a walkway in front of Plaza Pavillion (my favorite) and back by Dumbo and carousel (DH's favorite). Try a few locations if you can. Through the generosity of Winniedapooh I also got to view from a Wishes cruise, but without the music felt other off MK locations (Narcoosees, Poly Beach, 4th floor CR, etc) might be better.

When we were there in June, we staked out one of the tables in front of Casey's. (the ones with red & white stripes...). We had to stake it out about 1 1/2 hours before, but it was sooooo worth it. We had a wonderful, unobstructed view with no one in front of us and we got to sit down and be comfortable the whole time. A cast member even came by and took the umbrella down so we could see the whole sky.

And we didn't mind the break...we just sat and people watched while waiting for the show to start. And knowing we had great seats while everyone else was scrambling around made it worth it.
