The american flag mickey pin that the DVC sent me after 9/11 that was to honor those lost on 9/11. It is inscribed on the back and has 13 stripes on the front so it is different from the pin that you can buy in the park. I really treasure it.
I can't even find the pin I used to have on pin pics. It's several years old (3-4 years?) and it was kind of a big pin, about the Sun Wheel at DCA and it was signed by the artist on the back. A dear friend of mine sent it to me just for helping her with some image resizing and my evil ex LOST IT! (along with all the other pins I had framed)
I have PinPics number 11381, Disney Auctions - Madame Leota (Pre-Production Silver). Yes, I'm the nut that paid that much and I have the Certificate of Authenticity to prove it. To be fair to myself, I sold more than enough stuff on ebay that week to pay for the pin. I may be nuts but I didn't go broke buying that particular pin.
Honestly, if anyone offers to trade that pin to you, they are lying. There may be other prototypes around but I own the ONE shown and described on PinPics.
Is a mickey holding a sorcorer hat and it is being blown away and it give tribute to the people that lived thourgh charlie I am happy I was on of the people that went thourgh charlie.I did not relise it till my mom looked at.
I would have to say the pin i got from doing the magic behind out steam trains tour. I am a big steam train freak, so i'll leave you to guess why that's my fav pin
mine is a Mission Space Pin that has Mickey, Goofy, Minnie, Pluto, and Donald in their Space suits around the Mission Space logo, even though Mission Space has been persecuted for it's "unsafety" it's still my favorite ride of all time..
I used to have two "Wild about Safety" pins. I lost my favorite one, (the pin that says "wild about safety" with a big picture of Timon and Pumbaa in the middle) in front of Mission: Space. My favorite now is my MuppetVision 3D pin.
I never see VMK shirts in the parks (Except at the Dis meet) I would say hi if I saw one But when I wear the pin, people always stop me to try to trade for/buy it. LOL I once turned down an inferno offer. My real pin means more to me than all the pixels in the world It has one of those locking pin backs, so it's safe on my lanyard
I agree that it's worth more than inferno - it's real! I looked at everyone's lanyards to see if the pin was there when I went last month - nope. The people in the pin traders' shop in Downtown Disney didn't even know what I was talking about. A search on their computer turned up nothing. Why is this pin off the radar?
I am not a bona fide pin collector so I would say out of the 3 pins I own my favorite would be the "I Was There" pin. (oh and my favorite virtual pin is my Alice in Wonderland pin hi friend!)
3-4 years ago I wanted to get the Indiana Jones set that were modeled after the posters for the three movies, and another one that just said indiana jones, so four in all. They were discontinued I believe, but we had found 3 of them on cast members around the park. We couldn't find the last one however until the last day. We found it on one of those pin vests of the MEGA collectors. The guy said he had an extra so he traded it with me for a lousy autopia pin that could still be bought. The guy was real nice as was his wife. These are really awesome looking pins, but I treasure them even more for the trouble it went to find the four of them.
I have the complete Wild About Safety set. All 13 Pins. 12 Safety Tips, and the title pin. I have them on my lanyard right now, but with no intention of trading. I got the 13th off one of the traders at Downtown Disney. For a cheap Star Tours pin. Which I bought anew when we went to MGM.
