We just got back from staying at the Tropicana. We usually stay with my in-laws who live right by DL, but MIL is ill and we didn't want to disturb her rest.
The Tropicana was GREAT! We got there at 9:30am and were just going to park our car and walk to DL and then check into the hotel after DL closed...but our room was ready and they let us check in right then! That was cool and it saved us from having to check in and lug our luggage up to the room when we would be tired from walking all day at DLR. Our room was very clean and quiet.
We went to the little mini mart that is in the front of the hotel and they had a great selection of anything you may need. We got 4 bottles of soda and a magazine and it was only $9 bucks.
My hubby ordered breakfast from Millies and they delivered in 15 minutes flat. That was very impressive since we have stayed at some fancy hotels that didn't even deliver nearly that fast.
The only thing I would say negative about the Tropicana is that the bed was not that comfortable... but NO bed ever measures up to my own, so take this negative with a grain of salt.
