We're trying it for the 1st time. I'm thinking that hubby and I can share an appetizer and entree, what are your favs.? Should we have dessert here or somewhere else on the Boardwalk? Thanks!

When you are on the boardwalk stop at the bakery and get some FABULOUS chocolate cake!!!!

Dh and I ate there May, 2002 based on the recommendation of a CM at the Beach Club. It was a great meal! We split the Tomato, Mozzarella and Basil Pesto flatbread for an appetizer.
Dh had the Medallions of Filet Mignon and I had the Grilled Salmon with sweet onion risotto. We could have licked the plates the meal was so good! We can't wait to get back there.

Enjoy!

We also had the Medallions of Filet Mignon and I had the Grilled Salmon with sweet onion risotto, and three of the flatbreads. All are great and highly recommended.

Be daring and try something new - you won't be disappointed.

Great! I wanted to try the flatbreads and the salmon dish. Glad to hear it tastes as good as it sounds. Yummm...Thanks!

Just found my menu -

We had three of the four offered when we were there:

Roasted garlic and Four cheese (DD and I liked this one the best)

Tomato, fresh mozzerella and basil pesto (DW liked this one the best)

Chicken, roasted garlic, roasted peppers, manchego cheese and chives (least favorite of the three we had).

Also, try the roasted peppers with mozzerella and basil - a tasty treat.

DW (a vegetarian) has had the stuffed Spanish peppers and loved it.

other items on the menu are Moroccan Spiced Tuna, Rigatoni Pasta with Italian sausage, Orecchiette pasta with chicken, sauteed chicken breast with couscous, gratin of scallops with sweet onion risotto, and oak grilled pork porterhouse.

Never tried any of the desserts - with the candy store next door the girls usually bolt as soon as dinner is over.

Let me know if you'd like the "full details" for any of the meals I just mentioned.

:smooth:

I dined here for the first time on my last trip and had Rigatoni Pasta with Italian sausage, tomatoes and portobello mushrooms. YUMMY!!!! :jester: :smooth:

My wife's favorite is the Rigatoni, and I vote for the Salmon (also my brother's favorite). I am getting hungry...

I was thinking of getting this flatbread and the salmon. Wondering about the shrimp appetizer too...

Yeah, it's our 1st time going to the Boardwalk and my girls already spotted the sweet shop next door on the map .:)

laurabelle -

You will definitely enjoy the flatbreads. We have not gotten anything we didn't like at Spodles yet in our four visits there.

The sweet shop is an after-dinner tradition for us and our girls too. :smooth:

The shrimp appetizer is great. We have done the dessert sampler a couple of times and have enjoyed it, although we more often stop next door at Seashore Sweets.

By the way, I also highly recommend Spoodles for breakfast. Much cheaper than many (any?) of the other all-you-can-eat places in Disney, and very good, interesting food. They have a la carte selections also if you want a lighter start to your day.

Thanks! I'm thinking of doing a tapas type dinner between me, hubby and oldest dd:shrimp appetizer, flatbread and salmon. Yummm...

I read on these boards that the menu had changed and they were no longer offering the Mediterranian breakfast. :(

Laurabelle,
What, no Mediterranean breakfast?!! I don't visit for a couple of months and they make changes?!! Oh, that hurts. Oh well, please ignore my previous post everybody :(
Mike

PS Unless that changed too, the wine selection was pretty good...

We eat at Spoodles on every trip, it is one of our favorites at WDW. We always start by ordering one of there flatbreads, they are so great. The one we like the best is the chicken, roasted garlick, roasted pepper & manchego cheese flatbread.

We have tried many of there dishes, on our last visit I had the Moroccan Spiced Tuna and it was the best Tuna I had ever had. My wife had the Rigatoni Pasta and she loved hers also. We always try to eat around 6:00 and then go for a stroll around the Boardwalk, it is a beautiful location.
