After much debating and going over menu's I have decided to fill my last minute reservation spot with Rose and Crown for dinner. The menu looks really yummy but I'm having a hard time figuring out which would be the best to order. For anyone who has eaten there:

What was your favorite meal?

What was your favorite desert?

I have never eaten there and I am honestly excited to try it:goodvibes

I had the sunday roast which was good and DS had the fish and chips which were awesome. DH had some sort of potato soup which was also very good. For dessert we shared the toffee dessert which was recommended by our waiter. It was good but I think I would try something different next time.

Our service was excellent and we also took advantage of seeing Illuminations from the veranda even though we dined inside.

Looking forward to going back. Think I may try the shepherd's pie next time. Saw it going by and it looked delicious.

I know most likely my dd14 will order the fish and chips and she eats like a bird so I know for sure I will get a taste of that:rotfl: The shepherds pie does sound yummy! Has anyone tried the grilled sirloin? if so was it a decent steak?

shameless bump:rotfl: Come on Rose & Crown ppl's I know your out there lol!

I love R&C and have eaten nearly everything that's ever been on the menu. But last trip I had the surf and turf and found Nirvana. The steak was tender and cooked perfectly medium rare. The fish was, well, fish, the always safe pick. I swapped part of mine to my niece for a few bites of shepherd pie-wonderful and always. This niece and I also split the Appetizer Trio to Share. They split each of these for us to share. It includes a Scotch egg, a cup of potato leek soup and (then) Yorkshire pudding. That's been changed to salmon finger sammie. That'd be fine too. For dessert, like I needed to eat any more, I got Chocolate Scotch Cake.
The menu at R&C is always changing. In '07 I had a ploughman's lunch that was the best roast beef sammie I ever had with a cup of potato leek soup. I'd love to have that again.

We eat at Rose & Crown on a fairly regular basis and I usually have the fish and chips, but might try the pot roast next time. I also like the potato leak soup. The only dessert I really liked was the apple crisp, which is no longer available there.

If you like Rose & Crown, especially the fish and chips, you might also try Raglan Road at Downtown Disney. There is a much better selection and the food is better (had fish and chips there a few weeks ago).

Beer sampler, cheese plate and mussels appetizer. I generally don't get dessert but if I did it would be sticky toffee pudding.

I def agree about Raglan Road :) We have eaten there the past two trips so I am attempting to try new places we have never eaten before only now I have a dilemma! I was able to snag the one and only O'hana ressie left on our Rose and Crown night so now I have to choose. Should I keep R & C or now go with O'hana? Both places are new to us and I have heard awesome reviews of both!

My wife and I are addicted to their Shepherds Pie. Throw in a beer sampler or a Guiness on tap and I am a happy boy. :goodvibes

I've enjoyed the cheese and fruit app and the bangers & mash.
For dessert...Chocolate Scotch Cake !!

Fish and Chips, Bangers and Mash and then of course, the sticky toffee pudding. R&C is a must every trip. We have tried all the app's and I have to say that I like the scotch egg.

Enjoy!
