What's your favorite HOJO room, in what building?

We are staying at hojo at the end of this month. We have stayed here once before (july 2008) and the beds were really bad. I think we were in the building closest to building 2 on the second floor. I know lots of people on here love hojo and rave about what good beds they have so that leads me to my question of what room type, building #, and view are your favorites?

Building 1 with a Disney view. I really like that there is a sink outside the bathroom as well as inside.

Well I can tell you with certainty, that in July 2008, they had not completed upgrading all the beds in the hotel to the new ones (we were unfortunate enough to have one of these on that trip, and because they were fully booked could not change rooms, and ended up leaving early and moving to the Disneyland Hotel) They have now done that. We used to like building 2 the best, on anything but the ground floor (where we were in 2008). Now our favorite is building 4 looking out over the water play area. The beds were brand new in December 09, super plush awesome ones, you can see the monorail going by, and hear some of the sounds from the park, the sun shines in your room all day, the sunsets are beautiful, it's the closest building to the corner for walking back and forth to the park (these are also some of the least expensive rooms!) Our second favorite is the top floor of building 1 because the rooms are huge, and the view to DL is great, you can also see the fireworks from your balcony if you are in your room at that time (that's providing of course you are on that side of the building) We would still stay in building 2 as long as it was the 3rd or preferably 4th floor, looking out over the pool.

We have only ever stayed in Building 1 with a "Disney view" room...the beds were wonderful!

<sigh> we are staying in a standard 2 double bed room when we go this next time <34 days> and I have heard from others that the rooms in the buildings with these type of rooms are pretty good as well.

smiley_face2 stayed in these rooms and said that her and her family  loved them!

Have a great visit!

We like the 2 queen deluxe rooms in building 2. We always put in our request for a quiet room away from freeway noise. We have also stayed in the other buildings and don't have any big complaints, they have all been good. :goodvibes

Building 4 for us. We can comfortably share two of the second floor adjoining rooms. We like the tall ceilings and ample closet and balcony. Plus we just cut through the parking lot and we are on our way to DL in a minute!

Building 2, 1st floor, pool facing room. I don't like waiting for the elevator and hauling the stroller in and out so I like 1st floor. The pool view is very pretty and even when the pool is busy, you can't hear the sounds. Building 2 (I believe) are all deluxe rooms, very spacious and comfortable.

Thanks everyone so far! Good to know they replaced all the beds and it was for good reason. New question if you use the entertainment rate can you request specific rooms or buildings? I can't wait till we are at Disneyland! :)

Bldgs 4 & 6, second floor. No elevators but we never have so much stuff we can't lug it up the stairs.

You can choose your room type when using the ET rate, but not a specific room number.

I've stayed in all buildings and I definitely prefer building 4 facing the courtyard, ground floor or building 6 ground floor. The beds are doubles, instead of queens, which could be a negative for you, but they have plenty of room for us. There is also a roll away bed in the big closet in the room. The beds are as comfy as the Bldg 1 beds. The rooms are quieter then any other building. I prefer ground floor as there is no sun window in the room, they have them on the second floor, which is a negative for us because we don't want to rise with the morning sun. If you call early morning of the day you are arriving, you can ask for a specific location. You can also request it in advance, but I found calling day of got me better results.
Hope that helps.

My favorite rooms on our property are the Deluxe Pool View Room in Building 2. They have queen beds, microwaves, a small fridge, a great view of our Garden Pool- and I think they are the quietest rooms on our property.

Plus I love how green everything is back there, and the big tall pines that surround the building and the pool make me feel like I'm in some kind of woodland retreat! :goodvibes

We stayed in building 2 last trip, and requested it again for our next one. I believe we were on the second floor, and had an inside corner room. No balcony, but the room is slightly bigger which is better for us with 3 kids. Nice big bathroom, fridge and micro. Building 2 is the longest walk, but it was super quiet when we went. We felt like we were the only ones there!

Premium Disney view rooms, NQQ1 are the best. They have 2 King beds, (really comfortable) plus heaps of room for a rollaway, they are SO spacious! Love the fact you are really close to the shop, laundry and main entrance out - quicker to the parks!

DITTO. Love the corner rooms. We have stayed in most of the buildings and by far my favorite is any room in Building 2.

On the subject of favorite building...quick question for you HOJO experts...what is the closest building to walk to DL? My father-in-law is staying there in Dec. and has really bad knees.

Thanks, Pixiewings! That helps to know, still deciding if it would be better to tell them to use the ART...I'll need to do some research on that one! So much info to explore on the DIS...love it!:)
