I went out this weekend to the farm with my daughter and had a nice frosty morning Sunday. Behold the power of dehydration, we had shredded hash-browns and some pre-cooked(at home) sausage. This got me thinking, what is your favorite fast food for your RV or when camping.

  • Dehydrated Hash browns
  • 30 second bacon
  • instant oatmeal
  • Mac and Cheese, Old school 10 minute boiling water, not 3 minutes and done.

Have you thought of hamburgers and hot dogs?

One of my favorite meals this past trip was cold BLT's. We cooked the bacon ahead of time. We also could have done the lettuce and tomato ahead of time. My dh said since he had to slice the bread, he might as well slice the tomato and lettuce too. They were yummy and easy! :cool1:

Don't forget the southern staples consisting of Beanee Weenee's, vienna sausages and potted meat.... :rotfl:

Sea bass. Well, that is what Oprah thinks we should make

On a serious note, I like the Macaroni Grill frozen skillet dinners. You just heat them in a an eletric skillet for 10 min.

I have to know...What is "potted meat"??? We don't have that up here in the northland

You guys are lucky to not have such available.... But, if you ever want to be adventerous, you need to give it a try....

A potted meat food product or potted meat is a food made using a method of food preservation -canning, consisting of cooked meat product, seasoned, often creamed, minced, or ground, which is filled into cans, sealed and heat processed in a retort to commercial sterility.

Various meats such as beef, pork, chicken, turkey and variety (nonskeletal) meats are used. It is produced internationally as a source of affordable meat. Its long shelf life and precooking makes it suitable for emergency food supplies, and for military and camping uses, although the high content of fat, protein, and/or preservatives may make it unsuitable for frequent consumption. The final product typically has a spreadable consistency, and typically contains high amounts of salt, as a preservative.

From wikipedia. lovethat part about non skeletal :scared1:
