First time cruise on 01/05/03 room #6084 on deck six, we have a few days before we book it and I really need advice on different areas to look for or if there is a bad location....ugh, Thanks in advance for your help!!!

My favorite Deck for a cabin is Deck 8, though I did not mind Deck 1 on our last cruise. Both had good locations for different things. My favorite relaxing deck is 4 with those very comfy deck chairs. Most romantic deck is 10 for walks under the moonlight!!!

My favorite deck is 5 because you are right in the middle, so it's easy to go up or down, and my favorite area of the ship is aft because there is little hallway traffic, which makes it nice and quiet. The kids clubs are on deck 5, but they don't cause any disturbance because they are far enough from the staterooms. My favorite stateroom is 5650, which is as far aft as you can get. I love it because people rarely venture back there, so it's extremely quiet. However, when you are aft, you might get some engine noise. Personally, this doesn't bother me...I like it because I sleep with a white noise machine anyway, so it's just more white noise. But if you are sensitive to that, aft might not be good for you.
I'm not fond of deck 2 because in the two times we've been down there, we were once under the Rockin' Bar D and heard the bass until very late, and the other time we were in 2626, which is apparently right over a door that is used for loading and unloading...LOUD every time we docked, including something like 4 a.m. when we arrived home at Port Canaveral. There are some Deck 2 rooms with no noise potential overhead, but you have to be careful. On decks 1 and 5 through 7, you pretty much only have other staterooms overhead.

On our last cruise we had a Navigators veranda on Deck 7 and loved it. It was so nice and easy to run up to deck 9 for drinks or breakfast. We were right near the secret aft deck which was nice to pop out on from time to time (but it can get HOT! out there).

We are doing Deck 6 on our next cruise and I think it will be just as nice.

My favorite is actually Deck 6, equally convenient to go up and down on the ship...I almost always take the stairs. :D

We stayed in room 5014 on our last cruise and we requested the same one for our upcoming cruise. Love the location - Mid ship and since we are aft - very quite. We also loved that the kids clubs were on the same floor. Easy to carry little ones home at night after their movies. :)

We have only been on one Disney cruise and our next one is coming up in November. We have stayed on deck 7 forward (porthole 2 doors down from the verandah's) and we LOVED it. When we go in November we are also going to be on deck 7 mid -aft and this time we are going to have a verandah and are looking forward to this. I like to be as high as I can on the ship, however, someday we will be on deck 8!!

Enjoy!!

I was very happy with Deck 2. Our room was 2576. Very quiet.

I'll have to admit, I really would like to enjoy a room with a verandah...ahhh, but maybe someday. Anyway, I enjoyed a cat. 9.

I still have "pixie dust" in my dreams!!

Deck 7. Quiet and peaceful. Feels like you are not even moving and the quietness makes it almost think you aren't moving.

Secret Deck 7 aft...THE BEST

We were in Room 6089 on 3/23 and loved it! You can easily walk up or down the stairs to anything!!!! It's also very close to the laundry if needed.I washed one time!!As far as noise goes, we were so tired at night we never hearda thing!!I lolved being on deck 6. As far as other decks, i liked Deck 10 to sit in the sun. HAve fun!!!

We were on deck 8 mid and I thought it was loud at night. I looked at the deck maps and I think I figured out that the Goofy pool was directly over our stateroom. I always heard people running overhead. Did any one else find this to be true or is it just me? :)

My favorite deck for relaxing is deck 4. Ahhh... those chairs. Wish I was in one right now. :)

we had a cat four on deck eight, and afterwards i wished that we were lower. Reason being, that when you were on your verandah you had all these little lights and fixtures in your view that were hanging off deck nine. almost all my pictures i took had them included....

We love deck 5! We are on deck 5 for the third time for our next cruise.

We had room 6082, center of the ship, and we thought it was great, no problems whatsoever with movement, noise, etc. We are going again on the Magic in January and decided to try the other side of the ship this time. I think we have 6578, although I can't remember for sure. Had to have a verandah though, we loved it so much on our first cruise. Enjoyed deck #10 for "late night walks", and hubby spent a lot of time in those comfortable loungers on deck #4 too. I seemed to spend more time on our own verandah, as I'm the type of person who needs daily "alone time" so it worked out great. Can hardly wait to go again!!

We have been on 5 cruises - 1 on deck 8, 2 on 7 and 2 on six. My thoughts based on our experience are:
(1) You cant get a bad room. I was worried about our latest because it was connecting, but never heard anything next door.
(2) We go for deck six now because you get the exact same room for a little less money than 7 or 8, and I can't see any difference. A little lower, but it still looks a long way down to the water.
(3) Side is more important than deck. The starboard (right)side faces the dock at the port and is better if you want to sit on your veranda when departing Canaveral because all the activity is on that side. Also, since backing in seems to be the prefered docking at CC, you have a great view of the activities there.
(4) Fore or aft is more important than either deck or side. If you have kids, aft or mid ship makes most sense due to pool/topsider's location. Our first 4 were aft/midship, even though we had no kids. The latest was towards the bow (6028) and was great because of easy access to the forward elevators/stairs. This was great for the adult pool/spa, and the forward stairs/elevators seem less used because they are "buried" in Beat Street and the WD Theater area on deck 3 & 4 and don't get as much traffic.
Bottom line - Don't worry - Be happy!! Any room is great!
