Need some suggestions! And thank you to everyone in advance.

I'm looking for something quiet -- but fun! -- so I'll definitely request lakeview. Well, maybe definitely :)

It's just for one night so if it's isolated no biggie, first Thurs in April. It's our arrival night; two days on the road from Texas.

We've never been there, but me and the little "ferrets" love the pictures.
They got a kick out of ASMovies in 2005. Even Mr. FFerret (aka GRUMPY) was impressed. We were in the Dalmations part and got a kick out of the fire hydrant stairs and TV.

Princess Ferret princess: is looking forward to the Twister game and pools :)

I'm planning on staying and Pop Century Resort in 2010 and and I'm looking for info and pics of it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's a whole thread for the POP Resort :)

Alright, expert DISers...help me narrow down the choices.
1950’s: Buildings #1 (Lady), #2 (Jukebox), #3 (Tramp); bowling pin stairs
1960’s: Buildings #4 (Play-Doh), #5 (Mowgli & Baloo); Duncan Yo-Yo stairs
1970’s: Buildings #6 (Mickey Phone), #10 (Big Wheel); 8-track tape stairs
1980’s: Buildings #7 (Roger Rabbit), #9 (Sony Walkman); Rubix Cube stairs
1990’s: Building #8 (Lap Top Computer); cell phone stairs

When we stayed at Pop in October, we had a standard room that was on the backside of the 60s building. It overlooked the Generation Gap Bridge and it was very quiet and peaceful.

My brother and I stayed at the 90's building and it was very quiet. There is a pool on one side, but from the backside where our room was located it was a decent hike to the front building unless we were going to walk across the parking lot. If you have kids or become exausted after a long day at the park it may not be the best building.

IN 2006 we stayed in the 70's building and had a courtyard view. It was great. My kids are teens and they loved it. The 70s music was a riot! Brought back some memories LOL It was quiet and the themeing was excellent. I'd recommend it.

The 80's Walkman building. It's close to the parking lot, if you cut through the parking lot it's close to the food court and bus stops, and it's away from the noise of the main pool area and out of the line of traffic to and from the main area. :thumbsup2

If you don't want to pay the extra for preferred, I'd suggest the 80's/90's. They have a nice pool area and are really close to the buses when you cut across the parking lot.

It's by far our favorite place to stay! :woohoo:

I think the best building to stay in is building 1 in the 1950's. There is a little shortcut to the Classic Hall, it is close to the bowling pin pool, close to the parking lot...

We stayed in adjoining rooms in the 60's building 1/27-2/1. We were on the fourth floor facing out towards the the unfinished 40's builidings. Not towards the POP. It was quiet and it took no more than three minutes to get to the food court. It was awesome. I LOVED THE POP!
I can say that the pictures posted above of the POP I never saw during my stay, must have been farther away. I loved our location. My son and I left our room every day around 6am to get my coffee. It was a special time during our trip and I have great memories of it. I'm really glad we were so close to the food court though:) I need my coffee in the morning!

We also love POP and this will be our 3rd time staying there.
We have always stayed in the 70's building towards the end, 4th floor.
Very peaceful and quiet. It's worth the walk in my opinion.
I mean, you're walking a the parks all day,........what a few more steps for peaceful area to stay at?
Pop is awesome!
