What's your Disney "Thing?"

Mickey head ice cream bar
Lunch at Morrocco
Beat our previous ride records:5 times for big thunder mountain, 4 times for expedition everest, 3 times RnRRC

It's funny, there are so many things we "have" to do. I never realized. I won't list them all, but from the moment I ride Magic Express I'm feeling that inner child coming out and the excitement build so that I can't wait to do...EVERYTHING!:dance3: We always take time out to just look around at the faces of the kids, the little princesses and pirates, the beautiful landscaping and attention to detail that is such a Disney hallmark. It's just magic!:wizard:pixiedust:

Thanks for the post!:thumbsup2

You're welcome! And, you really summed it up!

1) Soarin' for DD

2) It's a Small World for me

3) DOLE WHIP!!!

There's that Dole Whip again... :rotfl:

Ok, this is getting ridiculous! Is there a Dole Whip Anonymous yet? :dance3:
(And, I give in.... Where do I find these magical treats?) popcorn::

have to go and eat breakfast with Lilo and Stitch!!!! My DS 15 doesn't care where else we eat as long as we go there!!

We ride Dinosaur over and over and each time do a different pose when it's time for the camera. It's such a bonding time, and something the kids get a real kick out of- trying to outdo the last pose.

Sorry - misquoted you as a Dolewhipper in the last post... Now I'm seeing them everywhere! :rotfl:

We're not doing breakfast there, but we are eating at Poly for the first time this time. I'm SO excited!

That's so great that you guys have a fun family tradition that your kids love!

We have to eat at Chef Mickey's our first night and take a ride on the monorail.
We've always done Chef Mickey's... and the monorail. We debated trying something new this time, and just couldn't give it up. :)

I love this idea for a thread, and no way I can limit myself to just one! So here's a top 10!

1. Walking by the Adventurer's Club and remembering it fondly.
2. Eating a mickey head bar!
3. The outdoor breakfast sitting at Tusker House, where you can hear the shopkeeper upstairs peddling his wares when it's quiet enough.
4. Listening to the different voices that come from the alleys on Main St. I love the singing classes.
5. Riding Thunder Mountain at least twice, once in the day, and once at night.
6. I've only done it on three trips, but I LOVE the segway scooter tour. So interesting for tech geeks!
7. Eating at 50's Prime Time! I always get the airplane noises when I don't eat my veggies :(
8. Star Tours (It was very bittersweet when I heard it was being renovated and changed)
9. Interacting with the characters on Main St. USA! They are literally worth spending an entire day on, just following them and watching the different shows they do on the street.
10. Walking around the World Showcase (and on occasion, drinking around it, which I've done twice, and is always a blast with friends)

Wishes. I need to see Wishes just as many times as possible. That is Disney to me. 2 years ago, I think I caught Wishes 4 or 5 times in 7 nights, but Wishes, the castle, the fireworks, the music...that's my "happy place".

I have to get my tuna sandwich at the Columbia Harbour House ... Or else! ;)

:thumbsup2 I think you just might be my new DISboards best friend! No kidding, in December I think we rode on Dinosaur at least 10 times in a row. After the 5th time, we incorporated the crazy poses into the ride. In one picture, it looked like I was choking, but only because I was laughing so hard! Oh, I miss that ride.

This is our second trip but I already have some MUSTS...:)

1. Must spend first day at MK and first meal at Casey's.
2. First ride MUST BE Buzz, or my boys will KILL me.
3. Must eat at Chef Mickeys, and Crystal Palace.
4. Must see Wishes.
5. Must have a Dole Whip Float and go to the "Tiki, tiki, tiki, tiki, tiki room" and POTC!
6. Ride TSM as many times as possible.
7. Stop in and grab a School Bread while going around the world.
8. Ride Spaceship Earth.
9. See Lion King in AK.
10. Get a snack and watch the parades, LOVE it!

Love this thread

1. Go to Magic Kingdom on first day
2. Eat as many Mickey Rice Krispie treats as possible
I always loved it when my kids couldn't finish theirs and I got a bite!
3. Little Mermaid show at DHS
4. So many many more!

I need to watch the Fountain of Nations and listen to the area music there. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh. If only I were there . . . .

For us the list is pretty simple:

1. Dole Whip! Make it a float, you get them right at the enterance to Adventureland at MK.
2. Early morning breakfast at Crystal Palace...nothing like getting your picture taken in front of the castle without the crowds
3. Must, Must take a monorail ride around the loop the first night there. Nothing says, "Welcome Home" like the funky monorail smells and Por Favor... :rotfl:

If we were talking DL I would have to say the Enchanted Tiki Room. I am still bummed the WDWs is "Under New Management"! :sad2:

Okay, I give in. What is a Dole Whip like? I am not generally a fan of floats as I hate rootbeer, so I'd love to know what is involved with a dole whip itself, and also what's in a dole whip float. I have no concept of this dessert.

The dole whip float is a little different than a root beer float because the liquid is just pineapple juice, not carbonated so it does not get all foamy. This for me, is a plus. The "whip" itself is similar to other dole whips you can get a fairs and carnivals, but it is fluffier at WDW...who knows though that might be my imagination. If you like pineapple it is a must have! :thumbsup2

Happy Eats!

after reading everyones posts about them i had to google them to see what they were and this link is what i got :)

Thanks, I finally know what everyone is talking about!

The best tip I could give ANYONE would be to get in the park early! :thumbsup2
Why wouldn't you get there early! You might miss something! :rotfl: (spoken like a true DISer!)

Sounds like a new ad campaign... "Everything is fluffier at WDW!" :rotfl2:

So glad you like the thread!
I'd love to try the Segway tour... it sounds fun.
Drinking around WS is a hoot. One year DH and I went pre-kids and gave it a go. He was disappointed b/c we didn't make it all the way (too much to see and do!) so, we wound up hitting this cheap little bar next to our hotel and "finishing up" the countries we had missed. :scared1::laughing:

You don't happen to like Wishes, do you? :rolleyes1:thumbsup2

Never eaten there, but I've heard such great things! popcorn::

What's a "School Bread?"

Love this thread

Thanks! Me too! :thumbsup2

Love the monorail. Got to ride up front w/ DH and DS2 last time and it was pretty neat!

1. Pre-park opening ADR(s)
2. Character meal(s)
3. Festival of the Lion King
4. Ride the monorail
5. Dole Whip(s);)
