I think we talk about our kid's costumes some, but what are you going as to the MNSSHP?

My dd is gonna be Snow White as pretty much indicated by the other thread I posted not too long ago, lol.

So if you are dressing up, what are you going to be?

I'll share mine in a little bit.

I am not sure I am going to dress up, I can not come up with any good ideas. But my DD is going to go to BBB and get made over as Hannah Montana and that is what she is going to be. I am looking for some good ideas too.

I'm going as a letter carrier for the USPS. My thoughts are, I already have the uniforms, they are accessible, comfortable, and easy to pack, lol.

I need some ideas, I want to dress up. Keep em coming people.popcorn::

I need an idea too. Not sure what the kids are going to be yet. I'm hoping they will come up with some ideas on their own.

We've been having some financial difficulty lately and had decided to cut out MNSSHP out of our vacation :sad2:. Then, I realized we had enough Disney Reward Dollars to buy the tickets.

So...we are going to wear something we already have in our house!

Notre Dame Jerseys!!! Go Irish!!!!

We may not have complete costumes, but I am just so happy to go, that I don't care!!! Plus, we will all match!:thumbsup2

Last year I was Maleficient, this year the girls will be corpse brides..so I'm going as Mother of the corpse bride....:lmao:

Will we look dumb if we don't dress up? We are going to the party on 9/23 and I'm worried it will be too hot. I feel bad not dressing up the little ones but I guess I'll need to come up with something they won't sweat to death in! :scared:

First off - (general) you will not feel funny if you dress up or not! There's plenty of both there!

The first year I went (no family - went with friends though) I wore a t-shirt with an image I designed (obviously without the 2008 on it, since it was 2006!):

The second year we did a Peter Pan theme:
me: Wendy Darling (even had the ringlet curls in back!)
DH: John Darling (his idea! really!)
DS: Peter Pan - with a ship costume for his stroller
nanny: Tiger Lily

This year just DS and I are going and we're going as (original) Mouseketeers. {Now if I can only find him a short sleeve mock turtle neck shirt! :headache: )

Not Disney specific, but in 2005 our family went as M&M's -- just in town, but it would work at WDW too:

A really cute idea for large families/groups/friends would be 101 Dalmations.

I didn't dress up for it a couple years ago but this year DH wants me to dress up  and "get into the spirit of things" :sad2: so I was either going to be Wonder Women or Supergirl. DH will be Batman, DS will be Robin, Little DS will be Superman and of course (per DH:rolleyes1 ) I have to follow "the theme." Hope to see everyone there and enjoying the night....

Its been a couple years since we've done MNSSHP. The first year I went as Tigger, DW went as Jessie and DS was Buzz Lightyear. The next year I was Capt. Hook, DW was Tink and DS was Peter Pan! Had lots of fun...have tons of memories and funny stories!!!

This is my 1st year at MNSSHP. Both kids will be pirates. My DD is a pink punk pirate and my DS will be the AHOY MATEY pirate...... and I am thinking DH and I should be pirates too. Not sure though.

Saw Fred FLintsone and Wilma... looked cute... maybe caveman and cavewoman. I keep looking, and still undecided.

I am trying to find a comy lightweight shortsleeved costume. I do NOT want to be hot and miserable in Disney.

This is my familes 1st party. Me and My mom and dad are not dressing up. But my 2 daughters are both going as tinkerbell. I figure they are 2 disney costumes that require less material

TravelinGal I just PM you... you have to tell me where you got that Wendy costume:worship: :worship: !!!!

First DD8 was going to be a Pink Fairy and I was going to be an Evil Fairy. Then she found out I wasn't going to let her have wings since they'll be a problem on the rides.

Now she wants to be Snow White - then I'll be the Evil Queen. I've got some great ideas for them to be lightweight and comfy. So if she sticks with that over the next 35 days, all will be well. :)

The last time we went we all dressed up. We had extended family with us and we all went as Toy Story Characters. Buzz, Woody, Jessie, Mr and Mrs Potato Head, Stinky Pete, and green soldiers.

This year it is only my 3 youngest sons and I so we are thinking DS4 young Anakin, DS12 Anakin as a Jedi, and DS16 Darth Vader. I am staying in my Mom clothes this year. My only concern is finding costumes lightweight enough that they aren't miserable in the humidity.

I LOVE the Peter Pan family too!

Y'all are too creative!

We are going on 10/2 and I had planned on dressing us up as LSU baseball players with our names on the backs of our jerseys. Does everyone do only Disney costumes???

You can do anything that fits within Disney's guidelines. It does not have to be exclusive Disney themed. I know some people went as Home Makeover people one year (paint shirts etc). People go with sport themes etc, although you don't see a lot of obvious Universal characters.

"For safety, please choose costumes that are not obstructive or offensive." They also do not allow full face masks. Keep in mind that you want to be safe getting on and off rides, so long things (or big wings!) should be kept to a minimum - especially for kids (who are more likely to stumble etc)
