What's your choice for breakfast?

We will be on the dining plan in July for the first time and we have an ADR for Breakfastasaurus the morning that we go to Animal Kingdom. We've never been there and have heard both good/bad reviews. While it's neat to have a character breakfast it's really not necessary in our case. We will be a family of 4 (or 7 if my SIL,BIL,DN join us for this meal) If it's all of us then there will be 4 adults/3 boys ages 10, 11 & 11. We have all done CP & CM in the past and will also being doing them again this year (both for breakfast and dinner), so those are out.

Anyhow, I'm just wondering if I should keep Breakfastasaurus or switch it over to something else. I would be using a TS credit for it no matter where I booked it (some places might not even be worth it to use a TS credit, but we don't want to pay OOP, so we would use it anyways)

Since we'll be in Animal Kindgom that day, my DH prefers to eat in the park that we'll be in so that's the only reason I chose Breakfastasaurus. How far would it be from Animal Kingdom if we chose to eat at either Ohanas or Kona. And how are their breakfasts? Now Boma is in Animal Kingdom, right? How's that place?

I'm just so conflicted!!!

Here is a site that has all of the menues for the restaurants. Allearsnet.com go to dining then menues. Sorry I could not post a link because it says I'm still a rookie and I guess they do not trust me or something.
As far as Boma it is at the Animal Kingdom Lodge which is very close to the Animal Kingdom. The breakfast there is very good nothing really out of the ordinary we went there in 2005 and we loved it. Plus if you have never been to the Animal Kingdom Lodge it is worth it just to see the hotel. Ohanas would be a 10 to 15 minute ride from the Animal Kingdom. You can look at the menues for all of these with the link above.

Both are great-Boma is much closer to AK b/c it is in the AKL.

Thanks for the ideas. I actually cancelled our Breakfastasaurus ressie and used that TS credit for a dinner instead at Liberty Tree Tavern. Can't wait. I now think all our reservations are made and my mind's made up. Finished!!! (I think) :lmao:

Just a suggestion. Rainforest Cafe serves breakfast. We tried it 2 weeks ago and were the only ones in there for awhile. The portions are HUGE! Honest.

Then you can head out the back thru the store to access the park. If it's a busy time, this entrance saves time. Just a thought.

We thought the Breakfastosauras was a decent character dining experience and the food was fine, haven't tried RFC for breakfast. I leave in two weeks for a girls-only trip, and we can't wait to go to Kona-- have to have Tonga Toast at least once each trip! The kids have always liked their breakfast choices at Kona, and it is cheaper than a buffet. Good luck!

Hi Stitch75 :stitch: There is a list of restaurant menus on the DIS as well...some of AllEars' menus are more currently updated, but this is also pretty thorough:

We went to Donald's Breakfastosaurus last August. The food was okay, not overly exciting. Our waiter was really funny and nice. We are a family of 5 and they don't really make you feel rushed, but we were in and out in 35 minutes...the fastest TS we ever went to. I've heard this from others at Disney also. If you're looking for leisurely, I'd go elsewhere. Have fun!

It is a buffet...but for some reason, just very quick. It wasn't like we seemed real rushed, but after we left in looking at my watch it was just 35 minutes later. They only serve breakfast and the rest of the day it is a McDonald's. Maybe the time you go also makes a difference..... We were seated at the very far back and the buffet was a bit of a distance. Maybe the ease, or lack thereof, of getting the food made it faster leaving... ? Either way, it was decent and we had plenty to eat. We are going again this Easter and trying a whole new batch of TS.
