Ok, so the weight think sparked something in my mind. Some people were saying it's all about comfort, some said health is the big issue. So maybe instead of weight, let's try Body Mass Index. This calculator will practically tell you if you're over/underweight.
My one concern is that is doesn't really seem to account for muscle mass...But what do I know...Eh...give it a shot! I just made it into the normal range at 18.6, better not lose anything!!!

http://www.halls.md/body-mass-index/bmi.htm
The site is pretty cool because it asks for your age and sex as well and compares you to other Americans!
(I've checked a few sites, and my results are consistent, so I think this is real!)

I'm at 20.5 and hoping to lose 13 lbs...but does that make me over weight? I haven't ever really understood the BMI thing!

I'm 23.2 and in the 22nd percentile for my age. For women the "normal" range is 19.1 - 25.8. So Aunt Lisa if you were to lose 13 lbs you'd probably fall in the underweight category. The OP is right that the BMI index doesn't account for muscle mass and since I do workout a lot my number might be a little off. I have seen more in-depth calculations that also ask for measurements. Something like that would probably be much more accurate. This one is a good gauge though.

Ok I wil go first with the "higher" numbers...

BMI = 26.6
Body Description = Overweight
63rd percentile

Now I have to get up and go to the gym because sadly I can not account any of that to muscle because of working out. Don't work out, Don't have ANY muscle... yet I do "appear" large or rather heavy....

Steady size 12, too loose in the waist, just right in the butt and thighs, size 10 tops...

Any suggestions on how to work out????? I can't get into it... Curves? PT? I don't know

19.4
2nd percentile??? That CAN'T be right, can it?

I'm 23.7, in normal range for 20-29 year olds and my weight is at the 55th percentile according to my age and height.

19.8
normal range
9th percentile
I'm 33years old, 5ft 8 inches tall and weigh 130lbs, I always considered my "size" average, so I don't really get the 9th percentile.....

19.6 -- and I've always been dead on with the calipers test and the charts, so I'm fairly certain that's about right.

My BMI is 27 and YES I am overweight by 15 lbs.! I'm trying to lose 20 though.

My BMI is 21.8 and I'm in the 30th percentile (20-29 yrs)
