We are going on the Wish August 12-16 and 16-19. We will be in a separate stateroom for each cruise, but will just be getting off of the ship and then back on. Hoping to early Port Arrival times so that we can have as little of a wait as possible (Gold CC) , but my questions are this:

1) Is there any option for luggage storage if you're doing a back to back where you don't have to send your luggage out the night before just to immediately grab it and walk it back to the other side of the cruise terminal? Totally fine if not, but figured I'd ask! I know we can just carry it off instead, but then we have to take it to breakfast and manage it until we get back onboard. Wasn't sure if Disney allowed you to store it somewhere, but figured probably not for security reasons.

2) If we don't get an early arrival time for the 2nd cruise and can't leave our luggage anywhere, does anyone have any recommendations of places nearby we could eat or shop that we can take our luggage? We're relatively light packers but it'll just be my 6 year old and I, so it might be a bit tough to do too much. Was thinking we could grab some lunch or something if all else fails.

3) We are staying at Saratoga Springs the night before cruise # 1 and I'm going to book the DCL bus hopefully today for our transport there, how does that work with Port arrival times? Will they work around our times or will we have to arrive at the port at whatever time our ground transportation allows? For example, if we have an arrival time of 11am and the bus gets us there at 12, is that an issue? Or does the bus pick us up based on when our arrival time is? I used to be a local and have only taken the DCL bus once before I think in like 2006, so I'm unfamiliar with this.

4) Finally, any other back to back must know tips? Thanks!

When we've done B2B on DCL, we have received a letter telling us our procedure. Generally, if you're changing rooms, you will pack up your bags, and your stateroom host will be waiting at XX time to take it from you and deliver it to your next room. IMPORTANT: Be sure to take off the ship (with you) your passports/ids/any other documents you need to check in. Generally you're off the ship for about an hour, sometimes less, sometimes more.

PAT is just a time you can't arrive earlier than. Arriving afterwards is not an issue. The busses pick up once at each resort, you'll get a letter in your room (or at check in) telling you what time to have your bags ready for pick up and when your bus time is.

The last time we did a BTB changing rooms, we were told to pack anything not hanging in the closets and leave everything in the room. We then did the disembark/reimbark procedure (which always seems to differ somewhat) and all our stuff magically appeared in our new room.

If you want to swim, be sure to keep bathing suits with you, just like your passport. You will need to stay out of old & new cabins during turnover.

And luggage is what ^^ gator doc said.

No midnight check-in requirement for PAT/BG when using a resort bus + B2B. The computer might not realize you are staying on; you may still have to pick something, but it’s a mute point. I verify with Guest Services onboard when doing B2B.

For the DCL bus from Saratoga, you will get a Pat based in transfer (I don’t think you will even get to choose at check in).

For the disembarkation/ embarkation day.I recommend Marcel market buffet But it closes at 8:30 sharp (or check app). You can’t get food after that time. You can hangout till the “last call” to disembark in common areas. You get to go a special way back to terminal but bring the paperwork and all your ids you need. You will need to redo all the 1st day stuff (minus your luggage). When you get back on (first), the cafe will be open but pools and buffet doesn’t open till the app says. Bring swim suits, you will be able to ride the slide with little to no line. If you are very discreet you may be able to get to your room But housekeeping may need you to kindly explain that you are on a b2b.

Other tips: you waitstaff should ask you on the last night if you want to keep them. We had a slight problem on our 2nd cruise that they didn’t follow through. So maybe get to dinner early to check. Everything is pretty much the same on each cruise, we did different tastings and excursions to change it up. We also looked for ways to make the dinners different with our orders.

Enjoy!!
