The Lightning Bolt
Verbally and mentally fluid, the Lightning Bolt is refreshing and illuminating to those around it. This is occasionally somewhat discounted by the obvious pleasure that these personalities take in exercising their mental acuity. Although generally peaceful they can often take a verbally aggressive tact in relations with the world, which can often be misunderstood by those around them. To the Lightning Bolt this abstract contact is viewed as mere play; they rarely understand the attitude of those around them who can be offended or hurt by wild flights of verbal fancy or playfully intended barbs.

Innovative in the extreme, the Lightning Bolt personalities can often think themselves right out of the correct answer to a given problem. Many times they are referred to as their own worst enemies.

Never one to rest on the established route or method, these personalities prefer the untamed field, or the new tact that has yet to be tested. They tire very quickly of routine and so make poor clerks or administrative help. They also have no respect for authority and little patience for those they regard as inferior, most especially those in charge.

Because of their speedy thought processes, this personality type is easily annoyed by life's petty grievances, such as slow traffic on the freeway, lines in malls, or long-winded and meaningless jokes told at parties.

The Lightning Bolt generally has a small circle of close friends, is known to be a fabulous lover, and manages to socialize fairly well. Large groups of people or shallow friendships tend to bore them. Experimentation is the watchword of the Lightning Bolt and can occasionally lead to experience for its own sake and shallow decadence.

These personalities are often adept at viewing many different perspectives on a problem. Sometimes they will prefer the solution, which appears the most elegant, or esthetically pleasing. Luckily, these are often the best solution to a problem, although not often the most obvious.

Because they can see different perspectives, The Lightning Bolt tries to understand others by imagining how they think. They like lively intercourse both romantic and verbal, and try to get friends together into mutually productive relationships. A lively debate is never something to avoid; in fact, this personality can on occasion stir up trouble merely in order to watch what happens. This is rarely intended cruelly however and usually is regarded as a way to liven up the party.

Because they are creative souls, their thought can sometimes be scattered and disconnected. Their intuitive sense often gathers disparate concepts and unites them in unexpected and startling ways. They can sometimes uncover the hidden connections that no one else has noticed, and can come to an intuitive decision very quickly with seemingly little effort. This can lead people to think that they are shallow and glib, when in fact the Lightning Bolt is simply relying on an inner compass.

Problem solving is sometimes a game to the Lightning Bolt and they have been known to create problems where there weren't any before. Similarly, they can turn a simple discussion into a debate when others don't want one. Oddly, in a romantic relationship although the Lightning Bolt has strong emotions, they can sometimes have a difficulty verbalizing them.

Many Lightning Bolts love to travel because they are in love with the new stimuli that this entails. Meeting new people and experiencing new cultures is exciting and rarely seen as dangerous. Their relationships are often about sharing, ideas, experiences, beliefs, and cares. They can often see the promise in friends and acquaintances that others do not see.

Lightning Bolt personalities should learn to focus their energies and not to over commit. As a Lightning Bolt you should try to keep in mind that not everyone likes a good argument and some people can take a strong debate as a personal attack. Similarly, listening to what other people are really saying is important, even if you think you know where they are headed with a line of thought. It would be wise to find some time to be bored on occasion, or to relax without a prior commitment to occupy your thoughts.

The Catapult
Handy in the real world manipulation of objects and events, this personality type is easily enthused by practical projects. Once gaining the interest of the Catapult, a project will be quickly and sometimes manically dealt with. That energy however will be invisible to those not witness to it. Abrupt is a watchword of this personality.

Spontaneity is important to the Catapult because it never quite knows when inspiration will hit. Because of this, it often ignores or conveniently forgets rules and boundaries that limit its freedom. This need for freedom extends even to the personal sphere and though this personality is kind and gentle, it will often be hard to pin down to a monogamous lifestyle. Emotionally volatile, this personality is known for sudden changes of opinion, of appreciation, and behavior. The North Star
Fond of tradition, but attached more to the joy of human interaction, the North Star is often a beacon of hope to those members of society who have lost faith or who are in need of succor. Powerful personalities, North Stars are often in charge of the workplace and yet are not so rigid in their functionality that they can't take time off to play once in a while.

This type is often emotional, and this emotionality is rarely held in check. Wow - this is so me - and I thought I would be a life raft from reading the other responses. I *am* in middle management - and actually love it! - and I know all about my family back to 1687!

The Tower
Pillars of strength, promoters of the law, the Tower personality type is a natural born middle manager; not a leader of men but an organizer of men. Tower personalities need order and organization to feel secure about their lives; and they are often consequently attracted to work in the government or in jobs that promote an established tradition.

Tower personalities are also by necessity strong family members.
