What's your 2016 vacation plan?

We're only renewing two of our five AP's in my family. The other three are done for the time being - constantly high crowding and poor crowd management has turned them off. Is anybody else in this same boat? Plus, with extended closures, it's shaping up to be a less than optimal experience for the forseeable future.

I picked up some Universal Hollywood passes at Costco with a ton of blockouts, but our entire family will have these passes with 175 days of admission for less than the cost of one Deluxe Pass at Disneyland (Apples to Oranges, pass-level wise). With Potter opening, obviously crowding will probably be intense, but we haven't been in a few years so we'll manage for a few visits.

What are your 2016 plans? Are you headed to Disneyland? Taking a break? Visiting somewhere else?

Yup, still going to DLR at the end of February, as planned. I'm not sure right now if we're doing two or three park days as my husband just started a new job, but we like to go for our anniversary.

There's plenty there that is still open to keep me entertained. I'll brave the crowds for my happy place.

I renewed my Deluxe AP in November and will be going at least 3 or 4 times in 2016. A few closures can't keep me away from my favorite place on earth!!

We bought Deluxe APs last month (and did 8 days straight in the park). We fly down in April and will do another 4 1/2 days in the park. The closures won't keep us away either, but if Splash Mountain was closed I'd hear nothing but complaints from a couple kids. I'm glad it's not currently listed. :)

We used to go for a few days once a year, but last year got the lowest level AP. Our passes expire in February, and we're probably going to let them go. I think I'm the biggest Disney nerd in our family, the rest like it but don't LOVE it - even my 7 year old is a little bored of Disney (how is that even possible??!!!). We'll probably go back to annual trips, then get APs again when Star Wars land opens.

I want to do Universal for Harry Potter - I'll have to check out that Costco deal!

YDD also wants to go to Legoland for her birthday in the summer, so we might extend the trip a little and do some stuff in San Diego.

I'm also curious to try out Great Wolf Lodge. I keep getting email promos for it so it might be fun to see what it's like for one night.

:sad:Sadly another year will pass with no Disney for us. We are heading to Hawaii instead....BUT it will be worth it as then Hubby agreed to a trip to Disney in 2017 and 2018!! :cheer2:

July is going to be a big one for us.
Me & my wife's first time at DLR in over 20 years.
First trip for daughter, older son, wife & myself to any Disney park since our 2008 WDW Vacation
My older son's first trip to DLR. My younger son's first Disney trip
Going to also be a mini-family reunion. My parents, my sister, maybe my BIL will all be there. It's been a varying # of years since some family members have seen each other. To include by daughter and youngest son will see each other for the 1st time since he was a newborn in 2009.
It will be the first time I've really been on vacation since 2009.
Gonna be legendary

We only get to go every couple years and 2016 is our year so we are def still going! WDW is actually closer for us (we have never been) but we love California so much!

I'd been thinking about purchasing our first ever APs but hadn't pulled the trigger yet when I read about all the plans for Star Wars Land construction. That put the kibosh on the APs. And in terms of even our yearly summer visit for 2016, I am taking a wait and see attitude. Having the ROA and railroad closed is not a small thing to us. The Westside of the park is where we spend a lot of time. We are not big Toontown fans as my kids are teens, and Tomorrowland has been messed up for so long that it is not fun to hang out there (we go in strategically to ride Space, ST, Monorail and then get out.) So I will be reading lots of trip reports this spring to see what the visitor experience is like before deciding if we want to spend the $ to visit. We've been brainstorming other family vacation destinations and lots of good alternatives on the table.

We are heading to DLR in March. It will be hubby's first trip and our son's first trip. I have only been there once and never to DCA. We are very excited!

Our big family trip this year is to Australia to see my mum. She's not getting any younger and my kids can't remember her from when she was here 8 years ago. So we're spending 2 weeks there doing their theme parks on the Gold Coast for a week or so, hitting Cairns and Brisbane, all in a whirlwind 2 week trip.

Then the usual camping throughout the summer and whatnot.

I'm coming back to DLR for my birthday in October in an adult's only (girls only) trip for 4 days where I'm going to try to squish as much as I possibly can into those days. Halloween party for sure if there's one going on. I'll buy my first AP and use it for discounts when the whole family comes back again in 2017 for a week. On that trip we'll spend 5 in the parks and one at Universal - probably two now that HPW is going to be open by that time *squeee!*

We are from Phoenix and we just got Deluxe APs for the first time ever! We entered the park 5 times over Thanksgiving time.

We usually always go around Thanksgiving so we're excited to go different times of year. We plan to go back at least twice more in 2016. Definitely in October for Halloween as we've never been.

We had planned on going February and April but now it might just be March. We're hoping that my brother's family will be joining us for the spring trip.

DD and I are headed to WDW in March (12 days) and back to DL in July. Since, we are getting the Premier APs, we figure that we might as well get the most use out of them. We usually do 10 days of Disney - might be too much for some but we just like to be there - it doesn't matter if rides are closed or lots of crowds. It is just our happy place. :-) We will also be doing our usual camping and sailing trips as a family. Not sure where the annual family trip will be yet for this year - I just like planning the Disney ones! 8-)

Going on Mother's Day weekend. The niece is graduating from Loyola Marymount so we are doing an add on. We only do little kid rides because our kids are only 1 and 3.

My plans are to visit Disneyland Paris with a sugar daddy. Then off to different parts of the world.
Might include Disneyworld. Lol
A Disney cruise to finish the vacation sounds good .

My BFF and I are planning to head back to DL the first week of October (did that same week this year and LOVED it). The three day park hopper + 1 Halloween party day formula really worked for us.

The only difference in our schedule in 2016 vs. 2015 is we are taking an extra day to do Universal for Harry Potter. Neither of us have been since HS and figured it's the perfect time to go again. Hopefully by October the crowds there won't be *as* crazy.

We are going to WDW for the first time in February. We live in western Canada and do not want to fly down the eastern seaboard so we are doing a few days at Disneyland first. Flying in on Wednesday night and leaving on Saturday morning. That gives me 2 full days to get my DL fix. I am not sure what to expect from WDW, but we have free 7 day one park tickets so we will give it a go. Universal is also the plan. Can't wait for HP. We have a huge house with a pool and will be joined by lots of family and friends.
I am still in shock from buying our DL park admission. The Canadian dollar is in free fall mode......3 2 day parkhoppers....$916 Canadian...sigh

DH does not want to go back to Disneyland for a few years after our November 2015 trip. The crowds really put a damper on our Disney magic. This summer we planning to stay with family in Riverside County and visit Hollywood/Legoland/San Diego. I am really hoping I can convince DH to go to Disneyland just for one day during our stay.

We are planning 2 trips in 2016. A small trip with just me, DH and DS in January/February and another big trip with extended family in friends in November. I know the crowd levels are crazy, but it won't stop us. We haven't been since 2012......

We were going during MHP but change in plans dictated moving our dates to Sept. 6-14 staying at the Anaheim Majestic Garden with 5 day passes. Still plan on doing some sightseeing in the area; they have some awesome museums in the LA/OC area. The Bunny meets the Mouse in 2016!
