We have recently started watching the old Disney movies and television shows. I want to know what are your favorites that have suprised you, that you and your family love.

We just watched a Davy Crockett movie, and my 8 year old LOVES it!

Pollyanna - oh how I love watching that movie. It was on the Hallmark channel a couple of months ago so I recorded it :)

I loved Escape from Witch Mountain when I was a kid. Can't wait to see the remake.
Also I love Swiss Family Robinson. I made my family watch it before our last trip so my son knew what the Treehouse was all about. I wish I could be stranded on a desert island.......

Misadventures of Merlin Jones, Monkey's Uncle, Snowball Express!! Pollyanna, Parent Trap... I miss being able to watch them.

I'm not sure what movies are considered Classics but some of a my favorite older ones are Lady and the Tramp, Bambi and Jungle Book! I've never really gotten into the live action movies...for me it's all about the cartoons!

my son is really into Herbie these days...(Herbie goes to Monte Carlo, Herbie Goes Bananas)

I love love love Escape to Witch Mountain :)

Oh boy, I kinda have a list. LOL

Love the Witch Mtn movies, can't wait to see the one with the Rock!! :) Love That Darn Cat and haven't seen it in forEVER!!!! I need to try to find that one! :) Love Song of the South, Fox & the Hound, Jungle Book, Aristocats......there really are just so many that I love....OH we watched the Apple Dumpling Gang a while ago....OMG, too funny, the girls and I just laughed and laughed....DBF thought we were crazy but it's a funny movie! :)

Ooohh...these are all good ones. I have yet to see Swiss Family Robinson, or 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. But I know they have them at the library so I will check them out soon.

Just ordered from Amazon, The World's Greatest Athlete, and The Adventures of the Wilderness Family. I have not watched these since I was a child, but I remember loving them.

Keep em' coming!

One of the ones I like that hasn't been mationed yet is Summer Magic. It's one with Haley Mills in it.

I just bought Escape to Witch Mountain and Return to Witch mountain from Amazon! I am soo looking foward to seeing them this weekend! Also love Mary Poppins and was so excited when we were on the Wonder this Easter it was playing one night on the stack. This very nice lady sat next to me and said "You just look so happy" :) It was magical! Big fan of Peter Pan too! This weekend Neverland was on the Oxygen Channel, may need to buy that one too!:thumbsup2

Apple dumpling Gang is another. The Absent minded Professor, The Shaggy Dog, Davy Crockett, Swiss Family Robinson...all loved

Oh, there are so many good ones mentioned! It certainly brings back memories of summer vacations spent watching the Disney channel. My brother, sister and I never missed an episode of the Mickey Mouse Club.

Growing up I loved the Hayley Mills movies--Pollyanna, Parent Trap, Summer Magic and The Moonspinners. Another favorite is Annette Funicello in Escapade in Florence. Has anyone heard of the movie For the Love of Willa Dean? I would love to see that movie again but it's not available.

In preparation for our upcoming trip, DD14 and DS12 just watched Swiss Family Robinson and loved it!

I love Swiss Family Robinson. Haven't seen it in years but remember it being hilarious! Parent Trap was another favorite... I also had the book with movie photos in the middle.

Not really a classic but I recently watched the newer Herbie movie with my toddler. I needed a change of pace from Nemo, Monsters Inc, and Noggin TV. I was surprised that I enjoyed it. "Penny" did too, although she needed "coaching" to keep her interest ("aw, look, the car is sad" I wonder what's wrong" "he's lonely" etc)

There are so many that are wonderful. The first couple that come to mind for me are Pete's Dragon and Bedknobs and Broomsticks.
