What's wrong with my computer?

Occasionally the last two days, when going to a post or replying to a post, my little hourglass starts flashing and the page doesn't come up. I can't do anything but restart or shut down. We haven't downloaded or installed anything lately, I've only been on familiar sites, there are not multiple windows open when it happens. What is this?

No clue. When computers do weird things it drives me crazy! My computer is just turning off out of the blue these days. I'll be reading something on an internet site - than poof...the whole thing just shuts off.

Have you done a virus scan, spyware scan, defragged your hard drive, run scandisk? In other words some housekeeping on your computer? Have you deleted your temp files?
