What's wrong with MGM?

MGM is my least favorite however, it does have things I love! Like, ToT, RnR and Fantasmic. I think that some of the shows are outdated. Narnia so small, don't blink. Alot of the younger generation hasn't even seen Indiana Jones. Backlot tour is not at all what it used to be. Another, don't blink. It has great potential and I always enjoy going there but it's needs alot of good updating. Not a quick, let's toss in a Narnia exhibit. very sad there. MGM has great Table Service dining!

MGM is my least favourite as a 12 year old but my dad n my little sister 6 love it. Really its just personal taste. Give it a go theres no harm in tryin

We LOVE MGM! They have 2 great rides if you like thrill rides. My DH has even gone to the shows and wasn't totally bored with them. It's one of our favorites. I guess to each their own. Just go with an open mind and hae fun!

Ditto. DW and I spend half a day there every other WDW trip. I like RnR and LightsMotorsAction, and I've come EXTREMELY close to getting in the hot seat of WWTBAM. Also the Christmas light display is not to be missed during that time of the year.

For many people it probably boils down to which they like best, shows or rides, although many might not have thought about it that way.

MGM is very light on rides. If you consider the Studios Backlot Tour and the Great Movie Ride as tours - which they basically are - you are left with only three "rides" in the park:

(1) Star Tours, which is a simulator, (2) Tower of Terror, and (3) the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster.

On the other hand, if you like shows there are ten to pick from:

(1) Sounds Dangerous, (2) Indiana Jones, (3) Mupet Vision, (4) Lights, Motors, Action, Stunt Show, (5) Who Wants to be a Millionaire, (6) One Man's Dream, (7) Voyage of the Little Mermaid, (8) Playhouse Disney, (9) Beauty and the Beast, and (10) Fantasmic!.

So, it's one ride for every five shows. Add to that the fact that it is sometimes difficult to schedule a day in the park because of the wide range of show times.

Having said that (in an effort to see why some folks don't like MGM as well as the other parks), let me hasten to add that I personally love shows, and MGM has some of the very best at Walt Disney World.

Enjoy.

My crew absolutely loves MGM...just like the whole feeling, right up there with the MK :thumbsup2

If this is your first trip going down, I think you will like MGM.

Many on this board go more than twice a year so it might get old to them.

If this is your first time, experience everything you can, there are lots of shows so make sure you do plan your day accordingly and have fun!

MGM is the park where I spend the most time. The only thing I dont like is Herm and Don are no longer there.
