I keep hearing about the reports of MS being a little to "aggressive" and not agreeing with everyone. I'm looking forward to my first time on MS in April but I'm a little worried because I felt pretty bad after Body Wars. Am I way over my head as far as MS is concerned or have others had a rough go with Body wars as well?

DH and I agree Body Wars is worse. Maybe it has something to do with the age of the technology or something, I don't know. We're not prone to motion sickness, but every now and then Body Wars will get us.

I have been on BW and it made me ill. I think it was all the red. I have not been on MS.

Body Wars made me nauseated. Mission:Space just made me feel like I was walking crooked, but I didn't feel queasy at all. I followed the "KEEP YOUR HEAD TURNED FORWARD" advice on M:S. ;)

I felt sick on mission space, but I was already not feeling well before I got on. The first time I road mission space I did fine though. I've never gotten sick on Body Wars.

I can handle Body Wars. Have never entertained the idea of TRYING MS> DH and Ds16 go and love it, though. I'm very claustrophic, though, and I'm jsut not ready.

Body Wars is worse. Its the same ride as Star Tours, but the combination of the red and the heat inside the vehicle just do me in. The nice AC vent on Mission Space keeps me from getting sick

DH can do Star Tours no problem and absolutle hates Body Wars. He went on it once and will never go on it again. He has been on Mission Space and can tolerate it, but only once a trip.

I get sick on all of the motion simulator types (Body Wars, Star Tours, etc). I was bound and determined to do MS, though, so I took a no-doze Dramamine and went. I was just a hare queasy during the landing part, and got over it really quickly. I was able to ride twice in one day, but not once right after the other.

Went with a friend who had OJ for breakfast and she was queasy a very long time afterwards (she has never gotten sick on a ride before) and she took a Dramamine with me (I forced her to). She might have peeked, though - I didn't ask.

Wow, I would definitely say that MS is worse than BW in the "provoking a physical response" department. I thought it was way, way, way more intense.

If Body Wars bothers you, just close your eyes. You get jerked around alot, but watching the motion on the screen is what bothers people. I haven't done Mission Space because that really goes in a circle and I don't handle circles well.

is body wars closed (i am not the biggest epcot fan)if it is not were is it located

I didn't really care for Body Wars...made me feel a little sick, however, Mission Space didn't make me feel sick. I just made sure I kept looking forward like the instructions tell you and I was just fine. The first day we were at Epcot, we got in line for the ride but after reading all of the warnings, decided we wouldn't go on it. Then the next day we went back and decided we just couldn't pass it up. Wanted to find out what riding on such an expensive ride felt like. We were glad we went back to check it out!

Body Wars is (was) in the Wonders of Life pavilion. The Wonders of Life is officially listed as being open seasonally but that hasn't been too often recently.

Interesting that you ask this. Body Wars and Star Tours are both simulators. I rode Star Tours a couple years ago and was fine. Rode it last year and oh boy...I was quesy very shortly into the ride. Ended up looking at the floor till it was over. No idea why this happened. All I can think of is where I was sitting I wasn't straight on with the visual.

However rode Mission Space which is a centrifuge. I was absolutely fine. The biggest thing I've heard folks say is do not look down or to the side. Keep your eyes straight ahead and on the visual screen. Otherwise you can become disoriented and nauseas or even more. I absolutely loved the ride and intend on dragging my father on it. I'll let him decide if my mom can handle it. She's sensitive to these things. You do feel G's so if you have a sensitive stomach / prone to motion sickness I would really advise against it.
I personally thought they were going overboard with all the warnings over the speaker system. I think that would scare more people to the chicken exits than the ride itself. Also..remember with this ride you can exit at anypoint until you physically get into your seat. I'm never going to be an astronaut so getting to experience the ride was great!

I got queasy on BW and not on Ms....although with all the warnings, I almost chickened out!!!! I freaked out when I saw the barf bags inside the ride. I really didn't want to throw up in front of total starngers!

I followed the instructions carefully, and I did not close my eyes or turn my head....very intense and thrilling....loved it and was ok....until I used DH's FP and went for another try right away...bad idea, I felt a little queasy the second time. However,it went away after I had soda and gum.

I recommend Ms...just not twice in a row!!!

Body War = whiplash! It felt like a one bad car accident! Never again! I needed a super utlimum mega extra maximum strength tylenol after that ride!

:rotfl: Too funny! :rotfl2:

Yes BW made me sicker than Mission Space, but that was years ago. Because of that experience, I hadn't been on it since!
