I have been hearing and reading that DLR has been quite busy for it being in the off season. I would like to pose a question to all you DIS'ers, do you think once Halloween passes, will DLR have its regular off season crowds?

I sure hope so.

I know Halloween has brought a lot of people to Disney, and the crowds will probably die down once it is over - but I just got back - and it was not that bad at all!! We were there Sun - Thurs, no ride had more then a 15 minute wait, and we walked on to many rides (over and over again in some instances) It really was not bad at all - I wouldn't worry, I too have seen the posts and I was worried when we went - but I accepted that it would be crowded, and was very pleased when I realized it was not that bad at all!

i would guess, the start of Thanksgiving celebration would be next...

The only thing special is about Haloween is at DCA though, not DLR...

We are going on Nov. 4th, so hopefully the crowds will be small. It is a Saturday though, but its not as bad as a saturday in June.

My mom and I are going Wednesday the 8th. I told her that I love going in Oct/Nov on a Wednesday because the crowds are small. Fingers crossed! :thumbsup2

It is true that the party is over at DCA, but, you have to admit that Disneyland has way more decorations and things going for it.

my friends went day after you through yesterday and got back late last night (they went to the park yesterday too) and they said it was horrendous all 4 days but it really seems that its due to the halloween thing...and I think that even though it is at DCA, it doesnt start till the evening so everybody is there going to DL ... :confused3

We will be there 9-13 Nov and I am hoping the crowds will be ok as it is our first and possibly only trip to DL. I just hope Veterans day won't have too big crowds!

sorry to say but there will be alot of crowds during veterans day weekend...just do what everybody else states...get there early and do ee on days offered, and use fastpasses :goodvibes

I heard that the last 2-3 weeks in september were fantastic and much quieter. So when I went the first week of October I was thinking it would have been the same! WOW WAS I WRONG!!!! It was like a sea of people. It was so busy for the whole week, including week days it was enough to make you kind of nautious.

I am taking it things havent improved since. YIKES!

I think the off seasons, i.e., walk ons, no crowds are harder to come by at Disneyland and WDW anymore. Year round schooling in many districts around the coutnry as well as fall breaks, bring in more families during what used to be off times. And, Disney has done a great job advertising during the 50th and now the YOMD thing. The good news is that increased crowds mean that Disney will spend money on new rides and shows. Its a bummer however when you go thinking it will be uncrowded only to be unpleasantly surprised!

I was just thinking that there really aren't many off season times anymore! We went in October back in 2001 and it was like having the parks to ourselves. Went last October and it was crazy! Went in December of 2002 and had very light crowds. Went December of 2004 and it was crazy!

I agree that now with schools being year round, you have people going at all times of the year, not just summer.

I was there with my family 10/14-10/20 and I can tell you it was very, very busy. Weekends were wall-to-wall people in DL and still busy in DCA. Even the weekdays were busier than I expected.

I have a friend who works at the parks (mgmt) and he said they have broken attendance records this October because of the Halloween Time (not the party but the decoations/activities).
